Will this fit an iPhone 6?

Not exactly. It will fit but the iPhone 6 has a headphone jack whereas the 7/8 does not so there is no hole in this case for the headphones. Also the hole for the camera is different , but this one I has a large hole for the camera so the camera for the 6 will work but the hole will be too large.

is it easy to take on and off?

Yes. It’s not a flexible case so it doesn’t bend a lot, but if you remove it from the edges at the bottom it’s really easy. And it just snaps on.

Does a pop socket stick to it

Yes it sticks to it but because of the type of soft material it’s made out of mine popped off a few times but after sticking it back on it finally stuck to it pretty good

Would it be a good case to put over a cracked back of a phone?

Not sure. On the one hand it could protect the back from additional damage but on the other hand this case fits pretty tightly and so I would be concerned that the added pressure when putting it on may damage the phone back even more.
