These are by far, the best landscape connectors I've used. But here's a required caveat. You have to understand you're buying lightweight plastic connectors. They are easy to use, easy to install the hold the cables well - but THEY ARE PLASTIC. I feel like these were a good value and will buy these again. I'm planning on installing new lights in the front yard soon and will use these connectors. They seem to cross thread easily so I really had to pay attention when I tightened down the nuts - but again they are 'Lightweight plastic'

So far these are the best low voltage connections I have ever used. They are quick and easy to install with secure results. Looks very professional.

the wire connectors are imple and sturdy, if i need more i'll order again. great product.

They work really well but are a bit or a pain to install. The pins aren't really sharp enough to poke through the insulation easily and the compression fittings won't take solid wire or anything larger than 14g. Those are both minor and can be overcome by tightening the posts well. The resulting connections were 100% good and seem reliable. You NEED to use tools (wrench, socket, etc) to tighten the posts. If you try and do it by hand, you'll rip up the skin on your fingers!

These connectors were perfect for the installation of our low voltage backyard lighting. I just completed the installation this week and it made everything so much simpler and quicker. Time will tell if they hold up in the outdoor wet conditions next winter, but for now I am a happy camper. I read another review that someone complained that the 12 & 14 gauge wire didn't fit for them, but I used 14 gauge for the closer runs and 12 gauge for the 100 ft run. All 17 of the lights are functioning well. There were no issues inserting the wires into this connector. Not sure what their issue was. I didn't have that problem. One connection came without two of the 4 caps, but I ordered extra. Not a problem. The only challenge I had was in splitting the two halves of the wire. On 3 of the 17 I did manage to slightly expose the wire on one side. I used electrical tape and sealed it up. Lights work. I am happy. I would absolutely recommend these electrical connections.

This is a great product. The low voltage wire connectors are well made and work great.

Product description says it works with 12 gauge wire. Technically, the wire fits in the slots, but I strongly recommend NOT using these for 12 gauge. I very carefully and, as tightly as I could, used these. More than half of my lights didn’t have a connection. I tried multiple times and sometimes they’d work and sometimes not. I just think the wire is too thick to ensure a good, solid connection. I can’t even really tighten the plastic nuts enough to stay threaded. Finally I threw them away and used the wire nuts that came with the lights and every problem was solved. This isn’t rocket science. There connectors are quick and easy, but I’m guessing only for thinner wire.
