Review: Great value and sturdy. - Great, sturdy, easy to install. Good value and works amazing for a heavy window bench top.
Review: Doesn't have to be for a hid-a-way bed only!! - I bought these bc the piece I was womaking had a 3" overlay and conventional hinges wouldn't allow me to open the top like I wanted. My girlfriend found these online, so I purchased them, and I don't regret it. The top is so easy to open due to the springs. It's like a spring assisted opening that I wasn't expecting!! And bc of the springs, it keeps the lid open until I close it. No pole needed to keep the lid open!

Returning. Not nearly strong enough for a storage bed. Would work well on smaller, lighter applications.
