How long do I leave it in toilet and should lid be open or closed?

If the staining is mild just a couple of hours. More serious stains should go overnight. Leave the lid down. Fumes aren’t an issue but you don’t want anyone using the toilet or letting pets near the bowl.

This is my third time ordering Harpic Power Plus, and I will continue to order it because it's amazing. It removes all the water stains effortlessly. I simply drop two tabs in before I go to sleep, and after about 8 hours, a light scrub and flush, and boom, it's cleaned. The only downside of buying from this listing is that shipping takes a month, but it's worth it, and I will keep buying it

It dint work for me.. i ended up putting 2 tablets but still the limescale was not removed ultimately i had to use harpic toilet bleach and scrub it myself not just the limescale but also the blue marks that the tablet left behind..
