This kit 72475 is missing 4 parts 4 GMs. That's the difference between this Kit & the 72485 Kit.
Makes creating Flares foolproof. You can make practically any Brake, Trans, Fuel, or Coolant Line. Has almost every die & adapter needed. But doesn't come with the 2 dies & 2 adapters required for some GM model Coolant & maybe a Trans Line. That kit is the 72485. This kit is the 72475. All in all, it's pretty straight forward. As long as you follow the simple directions, you'll have the perfect type bubble/flare & it'll be Leak-Proof Too.... Just don't do what I ended up doing. I got side tracked and bought the 72475 Kit. What I should have got was the 72485 Kit. I mean I was actually working on a Pontiac Grand AM, ie GM.... I should have just sent this kit back because the time it took trying to see if getting those 4 extra parts through email-messaging the seller took longer than the return policy. So I was left ''Holding The Bag''.... Oh well, you learn right.. Still a quality tool & makes life way easier when replacing lines on vehicles.. I'd certainly recommend this product though. Mastercool is actually the best one made so for the investment, you'll be able to make a hell of a lot of lines, the right way, the first time.......

FANTASTIC BIT OF KIT!
This master cool hydraulic flaring kit is phenomenal! It has so much versatility, makes flares, double flares, push to connect lines and making bubble flares a breeze. Early on when I got the kit, I was very frustrated with the fact that the T-handle does not apply enough clamping force on the dies to prevent the line from sliding out while initiating the hydraulic press portion of the tool. It was highly frustrating to the point where I was about to return the kit. However, I realized that the T-handle is removable (there’s a threaded knurled nut on it) so I removed it and opted to use a 13 mm shallow socket with a flex head ratchet to make sure I get that extra bit of torque to really clamp down the die. That’s the real trick with getting this kit to work. You just have to make sure the clamping dies are really tight, I just couldn’t get them tight enough with the T-handle so I used a 3/8 ratchet with 13mm to snug it just a bit more than you could with the provided T-handle, once I did that the tool worked perfectly! I’m a DIY guy. I’m not even a technician but if I were a technician, I would absolutely buy this kit. It is worth every penny and will pay for itself with one job. Just think about what it would cost you to pay a mechanic to do this type of job on your vehicle. You’re saving a ton of $$$.

Nice tool
After the first day's use, I like it. It is a little bulky, so can be clumsy in places, but makes a pretty nice flare. Once you figure out how to set it up, the process flows along pretty well.

Beware of tools that claim to do it all - except in this case!!!
I can't believe I ordered this tool several years back but I only used it a couple of times knowing that as an owner of classic cars I would certainly use it one day. And I just did. Tonight's project was setting up and installing ends on stainless brake line for my 1983 Maserati Quattroporte, and if you know anything about them, they use combination standard and metric fittings. So on the 3/16" line I had to install both double-flared standard fittings and metric bubble fittings. Enter Mastercool. With little setup and prep I was making shop-worthy flares in no time, and the tool was effortless to use. A few pumps on the lever and the flare was done. Changing dies from flare to bubble and back again was done in seconds. Now I feel like going ahead and replacing ALL of the hard lines on this car and have far less dread doing what was typically a far more tedious job. Sure, it is expensive, but I certainly got what I paid for and heartily recommend this tool if flaring numerous brake lines is in your future. I would give it 6 stars, but even I have my limits.

Dont screw around with the cheap flaring tools
Dont make the mistake I made and screw around wasting time with the cheap flaring tools that screw down by hand or you crank with a lever... I literally sprained my elbows or strained them and theyve been hurting for a week now. I ordered this tool as I have used one in the past at our old shop and it double flared stainless 3/16" line with ease. I found Mastercool to be a good brand name supplier of this type of tool, it works the same. I was able to leave my stainless line on my truck with the leaking fitting pushed back, I straightened the line by hand. After cutting the end off, I followed the instructions as provided to double flare 45 degrees. In the wheel well, the tool fit and flared my line easily. I tightened the fitting back down at the tee and it sealed up FIRST TIME. Also the flare was perfect looking! WOW! I messed around before and found out.... save yourself time and cuss words!!!

Used this to repair some mild steel brake likes on my 2004 Sierra 2500HD. Stripped some older rusted flare nuts when disassembling the brake lines, and didn't want to deal with the nightmare that is replacing all the lines under the truck. With this I simply cut off the old stripped flare nut, cut about 3/8" of brake line with the old flared end, and reflared a new end on the line with a new nut. This tool makes the flaring process absolutely seamless, and I had ZERO leaks the FIRST time. Ive done many brake lines over the years and have struggled with leaks and fitment issues with cheaper flaring tools, and had no issues with this at all. Its expensive, but in my opinion its well worth the cost for the ease and perfection of flares. I bought this specifically because it has the option to do stainless lines, if I choose to upgrade in the future.

La herramienta para hacer el double flared 3/8 no aprieta bieny al momento de usarlo el tubo se empuja y por ende no hace correctamente el flare
