Update: after almost 2 years it still functions amazingly and we really enjoy using it! Sturdy, beautiful looking and lifting firmly as expected. Great purchase for the price! ------- Original review: I was looking for a coffee table to put in my living room for a while and am so glad to get this one! Unlike everything else I purchased from Wayfair that requires a couple of hours of assembling, putting together the legs and table top for this one is a breeze. It just took me around 15 mins to finish working on it. Love the design and the contrast of dark walnut plus white, which is quite similar to the color of Rove Concept's Winston Media Console. It matches well with everything else in the living room. Quality is beyond my expectation for the price of a bit over $200. Very sturdy and very spacious. Soft close works pretty well so far. We lift it when we need to eat or work sitting on the sofa. My only complain is that there's a large dark brown dot right in the middle of the table and because it's right in the middle, it's hard to ignore it and I have to cover it using a decorative tray. Other than that everything else is great.

After 2 years = perfect coffee table, easy to clean, storage is spacious, lift is smooth. Heavy, good quality, sturdy.

I live in a small apartment - no room for a kitchen table let alone a dedicated dining area. I’ve been eating on a low coffee table for a while, it’s been terrible for my posture. There’s plenty of adjustable coffee tables here but I really liked the modern style of this one. It didn’t just look like wood planks glued together. I was a little nervous because with everything closed this table is actually shorter than my old one. But with the table lifted up it’s the perfect height to sit on the couch and eat without having to hunch over or hold the plate up. Plus I can use my laptop comfortably. Plus plus I LOVE having closed storage space where things won’t get dusty! My only complaints - and they’re very minor ones - are when lifting the table up it wobbles from side to side a bit. It’s stable once it’s up though. And it’s a little hard to life it with one hand. The other thing is the smaller side piece which slides out doesn’t sit flush when you push it back. Even if you give it a push there’s still a little gap Honestly the best part is that it came mostly assembled. All the finicky springs and inner pieces that everyone in reviews complains about in other tables come already put together. The screws for the legs are a bit small and fiddly, but I’ll take that over putting together an entire table any day! It was also the most well-packaged thing I’ve ever bought off amazon. The cardboard support and foam protecting the corners were so sturdy and solid my roommate actually kept them for craft projects. There’s not a single scratch anywhere I could find. I’m actually kind of sad this company doesn’t sell any other furniture.

The first time I ordered this table, it came in with some pretty bad chips/damage, hence the 1 star deduction. However, once I reached out to the seller, they were super quick to send a replacement and also figured out a FedEx return pickup for the damaged item! It took a bit of back and forth and reboxing the very heavy table was a pain, but the replacement they sent was in good condition. The table itself is great and was pretty quick to put together :) Super pretty color and more storage than I was expecting I saw another review around the same time as when I ordered that said the same thing about receiving a damaged product and the pictures looked pretty similar to the damage I had. I’m wondering if it was just one shipment/day of manufacturing or something that had a bunch of damaged tables because the rest seem fine!

This is really a nice table and I frequently get compliments on it. The materials are high quality; some other tables I've encountered get damaged by condensation from drinks, but this one is clearly made for real life. The surface is easy to clean and seems like it will hold up well. The lift feature is smooth and has a soft close, and the rounded corners are a thoughtful touch that's not only stylish but good for safety. When open, the top feels secure and sturdy, even when my 17lb cat jumps up. The sectioned storage inside is as thoughtfully designed as the exterior as it's color matched (white and walnut for the color I chose), and the interior cam locks are covered with thick white stickers. So when it's open, it's still an attractive piece. The springs admittedly get in the way of a little bit of storage space, but there's not really a way around that and the soft-close is worth it. Super happy with this purchase.

The table took longer to unpack than to assemble. It was well protected by the packaging, and assembly was no more than sticking the legs on. Many many pros, but we all know to scour the reviews for the CONS: 1. The legs attach by 4 screws each, which screw into nylon threads. This is a bit tedious and you have to be a little careful not to overtighten them so you don't strip the threads. This is a minor complaint, as it's still exceedingly simple to assemble and the legs feel very sturdy once attached (even though I think I may have slightly over tightened one of the 16 screws). 2. On the inside, the factory-installed hardware is hidden by cheap stickers that match the appropriate white or wood grain. From a normal distance, these are unnoticeable and fine. When you get really close, the stickers look cheap and hastily applied. A quick press of the thumb on each helps. This is such a minor complaint, it's like going out to a delicious dinner and complaining that the spoon was placed too close to the knife in the table setting - ridiculously nitpicky and easily fixed. 3. This is the only con that matters if you're deciding whether to buy this table in the first place: the product is not solid wood (it is accurately described in the amazon listing). This means it looks like typical fake wood. For being fake wood, it looks very good, but don't expect it to look like real solid wood. For me, and at this price, this works fine. It isn't as pretty as real wood, but it is more water resistant if we forget (read: never bother with) coasters, and is much more affordable. Just a factor to keep in mind as you decide whether this table will suit your needs/style. TL;DR: nice looking, cleverly designed, reasonably sturdy, well packed, extremely simple assembly, with three ridiculously minor potential cons that are vastly outweighed by the too-many-to-enumerate pros. Very happy with the purchase, would buy again.

The table is very well built with quality material, very heavy and cannot be moved easily by one adult person. You need an assistance to do this, I am serious about this! The material is sort of like my computer desk which are resistant to the scratches and feels very durable! I like the feature of top surface that could be unfolded to double the size, plenty of space in the storage cabinet as well where lots of my small stuffs, even for my laptops, could be put underneath, making the space around the table very neat and clean!! This is not possible for my old Ikea coffee table that is an open design leaving the stuff everywhere and messy. As advertised, it literally take you less than 10 mintues to screw tight those four legs, that is it! the rest of table has already been preinstalled out of factory. The cylinders that supports to open/close the top lid are quality made too, making open and close of the table top very easy and not feel that it will squeeze your hands when close as it is closed pretty slow with the cylinder buffer. Overall, I would say it is a nicely designed and well built table and nice decoration to my living room as well during the Christmas holiday!

Super easy assembly - just bolt the legs on and you're good to go. It's a perfect size for lower more modern sofas. Pictured in my review is a Bel Furniture Sara Collection Sectional and it's the perfect size to go with it. It even matches the color of my cat. The gas struts so the lift top soft closes is a very nice touch. The top also doesn't feel shaky at all when opened, and there is a good amount of storage space inside. Some of the laminated seams could be more cleanly hidden - and the little stickers covering some of the bolts were already coming off upon arrival. Might be better if the threaded inserts for the legs were metal instead of plastic. Hopefully they hold up. UPDATE after 3yrs of ownership....the table itself is mostly holding up well still, but what I would say is be very careful about dragging the table around....you can knock the legs loose very easily. I ended up building my own legs out of 2x4s and just reusing the table top portion as I rather like the handy storage and lift top, but really wish the legs were more solidly bolted down.
