Good for auto pool fill. Will not degrade in the sun.
Metal float will not degrade in our bright Arizona sun. Good solution for automatic pool fill valve.

In a boiler with 212 degree water. Holds up.

Low flow area
I bought this to replace a 3/4" valve, thinking it would increase flow into my tank. This valve actually flows less water than the 3/4" valve does so I took it back out. The actual flow area is about 1/4" dia hole. see the picture. The stopper is conical and even at full open this cone is partially restricting the flow.
