It really works!
It really works! It picks up shagbark hickory nuts in their hulls by just rolling over them. Sturdy construction. I like how the side opens to empty the contents. Good product. Thanks.

Picks up pesky sweet gum balls!
My neighbor has a sweet gum tree that is beautiful in the fall but really becomes a nuisance in the winter. In early winter it starts to drop sweet gum balls (also called witches burrs, a more apt name, in my opinion) by the dozens in my yard. These spiny little balls hurt like heck if you step on them; they can also cause falls. I needed something that would save me some time in picking these pesky little things up and I believe I’ve found it in the medium sized Zoen Nut Gatherer. After I put it together I spent only a few minutes in my yard rolling it over a small area and it picked up numerous sweet gum balls, as well as small pinecones and acorns. I’m pleased, as I previously had to pay someone to handle this task. The unit was very simple to get ready for use, as well. The only drawback is getting the sweet gum balls out, as they clump together, but not a deal breaker. Highly recommend!

works well, if you keep up
Pros: it works well, picks up black walnuts quite nicely. When the cage is empty, you will have to put push down to pick up nuts, but once it starts getting filled, the weight of the basket will do it for you. It is very light. It's pretty inexpensive for what you get. Cons: The light weight is due to the large amount of plastic. The ends of the cage sits in plastic holders. I don't know how long it will last as it's plastic rolling against plastic, there are no metal bearings The cage isn't held in very strongly, when shaking the cage to empty the basket, it can, and will, pop off. It's easy to put back on though. Use: works best when there aren't nuts all over, you can't use this after all your walnuts have fallen, works best when there is some space between nuts. Doesn't work well at all in deep grass. By deep, 4-5 inches or taller. The nuts will be embedded in and under the grass and won't be picked up. If you keep up with the nuts falling, and don't mind emptying if often, this is a good unit. If you have a lot a walnuts, from 3 or more trees, this is a bit under the task. And keep the grass trimmed!

Works like magic
I just received the Nut Gatherer. It works like magic! I used it to pick up fruit from the ground, and it saved me so much time and effort. No more bending over and ending up with a sore back. It rolls easily, and even picks up avocados quickly. The size is adjustable and seems pretty sturdy. I also like that it’s collapsible, so it doesn’t take up much storage space when I’m done. Overall, it’s simple to use and makes collecting fruit much easier. Highly recommend!

Good For Walnuts?... Yes and No...
A friend of mine posted a video of his Zozen Nut Gatherer and I decided I had to have one. I have a beautiful walnut tree in our front yard that while magnificent most of the year, it's the bane of my existence in the fall when the walnuts begin to drop.. I'm in my late 60's and raking them into piles then picking them up by hand is getting to be more than I can deal with. Seeing the video of his device gave me hope that my life was about to become easier.. I ordered one and today it arrived... Took me all of 4 minutes to assemble.. It's very well made and the materials are first rate.. Immediately I went out to my yard which has hundreds of walnuts on the ground in various degrees of decomposition.. Within minutes I had made my decision... First of all... while well made, the basket where the nuts end up is about 1/2 the size I was expecting.. It's kinda small.. Smaller than a football.. Meaning.. it fills up in seconds. It'll only hold maybe 8-10 walnuts before you have to empty it out.. Yes.. that does save you from bending over 6-8 times which is a plus, but that still means you're gonna have to be dumping frequently if you have hundreds and hundreds of nuts on the ground. If that was the only downside, the device would be worth buying.. However.. there's a problem that the wordage in their advertisement fails to address.. If the walnuts are freshly fallen from the tree.. within maybe 24 hours, they pick up easily and cleanly and the world is a better place and your back can breath a sigh of relief.. However, if the walnut has started to decay and it's hull is soft or mushy, they do not pick up as easily and more often than not they'll get stuck in the wires and you have to physically pull them loose (nasty) or dislodge them with your foot or bang the device on the ground which causes the other walnuts in the basket to fly out.. In my yard, literally 70-80% of the walnuts have decayed just enough to make the pick-up problematic. My opinion.. . if you have the time to watch your walnut tree and immediately go out and collect newly fallen nuts... the device is dang nice to have and worth the money. Sadly.. I can't do that. My life is too busy to sit by the window and watch walnuts drop. I'm returning mine. At some point, I may reconsider buying another, but for now I'll continue to rake and pick them up by hand like our forefathers..

The answer to my mountain yard prayers!
I have learned a lot this year about what does and doesn’t work for my mountain yard! I have bought a few garden power tools this spring to spruce up my yard, including a vacuum/mulcher for my mess of pine needles, oak leaves and acorns. Didn’t work, btw. I even bought a wood chipper, but when I was done raking and bagging I was still left with mounds of acorns. Last year was a “mast season” which meant my 100 year old oak tree dumped thousands and thousands of acorns everywhere. Wood chippers are not designed for acorns and they bounce around and dull the blades. THIS however answered ALL my issues! Well, regarding the acorns at least. The handle is adjustable, comfortly padded and the weighted lid opens easily for dropping acorns into a nice box or bag. I filled up a box in minutes and didn’t bend once! It’s funny because the box says it’s not for acorns, but an acorn is on the logo. Weird. Acorns are picked up just fine, thank you! Easy to use, works well. Excellent way to handle nuts all over your yard without driving you nuts!

This works
This thing works. Not perfectly and it could do with being a bit heavier hence 4* not 5* but still, it's pretty good.

Honkey Nut awesomeness
In Western Australia, we have a certain breed of gum tree that produces gum nuts, locally known as honkey nuts. They are the size of walnuts and for large trees can be prolific and are annoying to rake up. I had hoped this would work, but I was stunned as to how well the Zozen Nut Gatherer works on honkey nuts. Thrilled with how easy this chore has now become....
