Part was what i needed. Shipping was fast and was about 1/3 the price of parts stores.

yellow plug had to be preyed out, would not release. new cylinder went in hard.
new switch does not always turn off electrical, battery light stays on and runs battery dead overnight. put the old one back in. shuts off now. would not by this one again, poor quality

Great price but expensive programming
First, there is no chip in the key, so all you need to do is program it to the vehicle. I was not aware that it needed programming, but once done, it worked perfectly. The cost was excellent, but the programming was $95.00.

Works like a charm, was easy to install and no more issues with my ignition in my truck. I don't know what it is about the 04 Chevy trucks and their ignitions but this solved my issue and was a reasonable price compared to the dealership.

This solved my problems

Came with 0 instructions, thankfully I watched many videos and talked to multiple people about replacing the barrel… Popped it in, tried turning the key, and nothing. Key won’t move, will need to take it to a GM tech to program the key. Don’t waste your money, just pay for the dealership to do properly.
