This takes 2 AA batteries and does last a bit.. I will have this Coin Block light on at Night... Turn the lights off and press down on the coin block... It brightens the room but by giving it a dim light.. Very good to be relaxing in, and it is always nice to look at in the Morning obviously remindong me of Super Mario in which I still love even to this very Day.

If you are a super mario fan then this is a product for you. It's little but bright. Sound is great when pressed- sufficiently loud and clear. It's also lightweight which is great for little shelves in the office with the rest of my mario figures!
