CANNA Coco Professional Pro Soil 50L, Brown

The coir coco professional pro soil is by far the best product I have tried, I usually use the coir bricks which you add water to to increase the volume but this is far superior as it's not coarse like the coir which is condensed into the brick product. The professional feels lighter when you are using it and it has a nice touch, I have used it when adding to new plants into the garden, I have also used it to improve my clay soil to improve the structure (as the clay dries out on the surface mixing it with the clay helps to keep the soil structure and it takes a few years for the coir to break down so its an added bonus of having this product. I've also used it to re-pot house plants as it aerates plant roots and I have found my house plants are growing much better than using the conventional peat products or the peat free varieties which are on the horticultural market. I haven't used it for growing seeds but after using it in the garden and indoors I'm swayed by the the many uses it can be used for. After watching a gardening programme about using coir I wouldn't go back to using peat products as coir is natural and produced from coconut fibre. I'd also like to add it holds water but it dries out if you use it for house plants and you must keep an eye out in between watering your plants, it doesn't have added plant food like peat products so you've got to add your own.

We all know its the best option and with the price of all other soils going up this is seeming more affordable by the cycle.

I haven't used this yet, but know it works from friends. But, this was not in packaging, just had an address label on the bag, which was delivered to a neighbour. I would have given a zero for that, but five for the good value. But, they manage to wrap dog food in tonnes of cardboard and paper, when a label would suffice.

This soil is great . My palm tree was almost dead with only one leaves remain on it . I try all kind of soils and still struggle to survive. I use this soil mixed with some john i 3 and some Perlite and my palm is doing great again. I highly recommend!

Schon beim Öffnen merkt man den Unterschied: Die Struktur ist fluffig, gleichmäßig und frei von störenden Fasern oder Klumpen. Kein muffiger Geruch, kein Salzrückstand, keine schwarzen Stellen – einfach nur sauberes, gebrauchsfertiges Substrat. Was mir als Hobbygärtner mit leichtem Kontrollzwang besonders gefällt: Das Substrat ist gepuffert, was bedeutet, dass man sich den lästigen EC-Abgleich sparen kann. Auch der pH-Wert ist im grünen Bereich (zwischen 5,5 und 6,5), was bei billigem Kokos oft ein Glücksspiel ist. In der Praxis: Mein Testlauf mit BioBizz vs. CANNA Coco auf identischem Setup war eindeutig. Die Pflanzen im CANNA-Topf hatten schneller durchwurzelte Töpfe, besseres Blattwerk und eine gleichmäßigere Entwicklung. Außerdem lässt sich das Substrat mehrfach verwenden, wenn man es richtig behandelt – ein echtes Plus in Sachen Nachhaltigkeit. Klar, der Preis ist höher als bei der No-Name-Konkurrenz – aber wie sagte mein Opa immer: „Wer billig kauft, sät Frust und erntet Schimmel.“ In dem Sinne: Ich bleibe dabei.
