Great kit and really good, quick support
I bought this to upgrade my Mortal Kombat II Arcade 1up cabinet I just bought used to upgrade with a PC etc. Following the many videos on Youtube made it easy and this hardware works really well. Easy to install and cable. Everything works, only mapping the keys is trickier than it could be in my opinion, but doable. Lights all work. Interestingly not all the buttons are wired the same, so you may have to swap the Red and Black on a few. I found most were red cable to the red side, but some were the other way around. This is just to get the lights working, as they are LED and require the polarity to be correct. Very happy with the end result. Enough buttons to allow you to choose colours of buttons and I added a couple as suggested by Youtubers, and there are enough in this kit to allow you to do it. I had a small issue and contacted the seller through Amazon. They responded immediately with good solid advice which sorted my very small issue. Nice to get such a product and service from China.

Great for my RetroPie arcade box
Works brilliantly, easy to put together, one led was out, but spares provided.

Poorly Designed / Poorly Made
These ultimately function as controls reasonably well my main issue is the light up section of this product... I build arcade machines as a side line business and as a rule I use normal (non illiumanted) Japaense made controls but a customer wanted a rush pre Christmas order and was insistent he wanted illuminated controls so had to get these. The holders for the bulbs are very loose and just really badly made which makes for a poor fit and results in bulbs that flash intermittently or just randomly turn off. The bulbs themselves are equally poorly made with cheap wire badly wrapped around some equally cheap plastic by someone of questionable skill. If you want to spent many hours taking your arcade machine apart to fiddle and fight with this nonsense then you are a better person than me... these would drive me insane if they for a personal machine but when building a machine for a client they just cause too much trouble and time wasted. I have seen better versions of illuminated buttons that have actual real leds build into the body of the button and sealed in resin / plastic and work perfectly these are just a joke!

Great buttons and switches
I bought when converting a 1up Arcade cabinet, they work really well and were pretty easy to set up. They look very good when all lit up in the dark. I'd recommend them.

Cheap feeling and poor QA
Feel quite cheap, also several lights didn’t work which turned out to be that they were wired up incorrectly so all i had to do was switch the red and black wires. About 20% of them had this problem but all working now. I don’t advise it but you can work on them ‘live’ plugged into a battery bank so you can test them before committing to plugging them in. As for the cheap feeling, they kinda squeek and the stick ball feels light and seems to be made in two parts so you can feel the seam

So far, so very good!
So far, so very good. I'm back to the 80's and my childhood dream of owning proper arcade machines like those from Big. Well, instead of course nowadays we can do it with a Raspberry pie running Retropie. I bought this set of two player buttons and have built a test assembly to try out one of the sets and I have to say I'm very impressed with the results. It's a proper retro feel to the joystick and buttons, they illuminate nicely thanks to an LED backlight. I powered one set off of the Raspberry Pie with no issues, and Retropie detected the controller board with no problems. Can't say much about longevity or wear and tear yet as I've only just got it setup. Cables are all good quality, and the microswitches rotate out of the housings easy enough. Be advised that you remove the microswitches in order to mount the buttons in place and you're likely to put some of them or all of them in the 'wrong way round' which simply means the LED will not light in this orientation. As the instructions say, just swap the power lines round and you're back up and running.

No instructions, so here's some hints. :-)
Bought these to make playing MAME games easier. Arrived promptly and well packed. Even has spare micro-switches and LEDs. No drivers needed for Windows (11), it just appears as a USB joystick. Not tested on Linux yet, I'll update this when I do. No assembly instruction in the box, so before pushing on the connectors to the LEDs securely, test that the LEDs light. If not, swap the LED connectors then push on firmly. Mine seemed to be randomly polarised (LEDs only work one way!) To save you searching, you can quickly remove the switch-LED for mounting by firmly gripping the micro-switch and turning the coloured body to the left a small amount, a bit like a bayonet fitting lightbulb, this allows you to mount the button body on a facia or in a case, then twist the switch-LED back on to the body once the button is screwed in place. Joystick needs to be mounted with the connector at the bottom left when viewed from top All I need to do now, is build a case (Ha!)

Joysticks and all buttons work, but lights on buttons are not.
Brought this set for my arcade cabinet and plugged it all in to find that some of the lights for the buttons does not work which is very frustrating. If anyone knows how to fix this, please comment

Working great in my arcade in a box, first time builder
Simple install and plugged the USB into Raspberry Pi setup with RetroPi. Mocked it up on a cardboard box first to get the feel of how I wanted the buttons. 2 player kit came with all the parts shown plus some spare parts. Did not include hardware to mount the joystick or board to the wood. As shown in the seller’s photo about half the buttons had to reverse the wires to get them to light up. Weird, but a simple fix. A couple things that are not explained and I figured out with a little fiddling: 1. To take apart the buttons twist the switch about 1/8 turn counter-clockwise. If you want to change the image squeeze the white tabs to release the button then pop the top off. 2. The “Easy switch from 8-way to 4-way” on the joystick was not easy to figure out or do the first time. My video shows how. This one is loosened up a bit now, first time was stiff and tricky. Also note there is one position that will allow the center ring to fall out.

Bra pris
Köpte detta paket för att bygga arkadmaskin att köra retrospel på. Blir nog bra när det blir klart. Bra pris på produkten
