This is an excellent product that allows for storing food and occasionally clothes for longer term storage. Works well for freezing as well as for dried food. Bought it for Sous Vide and it works well for that too, but have found ourselves using it for many other things instead! The only downside is you need to use their bags but for now they are easily obtainable and easy to use.

Brilliant, easy to use and a great space saver on the freezer

I had been toying with the idea of getting one of these for a long time and I am glad that I did. Now and again I feel the call of the kitchen and make batches of curries, pasta creations, cottage pie (veggie),miso soup, etc. I always did freeze things as I have grandiose ideas of portion control and tend to accidentally cater for about 10 people, rather than the two of us. Anyhow, it is a doddle to use and has controls for how much vacuum (so it does not crush delicate foods), sealing, and a button that allows it to suck the air out and seal, all on its own. There is a small reservoir that prevents liquid being sucked into its “working bits”. There certainly are much cheaper sealers, but we were working on the principle that you buy a Rolls Royce far less often than a Lada. Three months in, it is performing perfectly. HOWEVER mine came with a round Food Saver container, which seemed an excellent idea for gallons of soup or whatever,,,,,, beware of these containers!!! The one that came with it had lost its vacuum after 10 minutes. I bought three others as I liked the idea and assumed that the original container was just a rogue one; they all had exactly the same problem. There is absolutely no point in producing vacuum containers that won’t retain a vacuum. I did complain, but was told that nobody else had complained about the containers, but when I looked at the reviews, practically everybody had the same problem! So the machine is excellent, the “vacuum containers” are not fit for purpose. Mine will probably finish up as very expensive flower pots.

I really loved this FoodSaver vacuum sealer very easy to use and with lots of useful options and accessories. It worked perfectly at first but unfortunately the canister arrived cracked. The replacement was sent very quickly which I truly appreciated. However, the second unit I received had a faulty machine and would not seal at all. I was quite sad because I genuinely liked the product but since a second replacement wasn’t possible I had to return it for a refund. Still great concept and very user-friendly just unlucky with the units I received. So I bought another product which was the second choice

I had mine for 4 years, worked great then one day just would not turn on. Tried all fixed and changed fuse but nothing. Their customer support is not great, told that cause it's out of warranty then tough. I have loads of their tubs and bags so have to buy another. Not happy! The one star is for their customer service alone!

La macchina ha delle misure 44x24x11 cm. Possiede sotto, un pratico spazio per avvolgere il cavo, anche se quest ultimo l avrei preferito più lungo. A destra si trova una levetta con 3 posizioni. 1 posizione verso di se, per aprire lo sportello, 2 posizione per riporre via la macchina quando non è in uso è il 3 verso l'alto per accendere la macchina e tenere chiuso lo sportello. Sopra si trovano diversi tasti fisici. Il primo a sx serve per regolare la potenza di aspirazione, variabile su 3 livelli. Il secondo è da usare con il suo recipiente per mettere sotto vuoto biscotti, farine ecc ecc. Il 3 tasto per selezionare se l'alimento ha tanti liquidi o no. Il quarto è un tasto per vuoto ad impulsi, si può utilizzare per mettere sottovuoto un prodotto facendo il vuoto a nostro piacimento. Il quinto serve per sigillare il sacchetto. L ultimo serve per mettere sottovuoto in automatico, alla potenza selezionata con il 1 tasto e dopo sigilla il sacchetto. Una curiosità, la macchina si accende solo quando la levetta si trova nella posizione 3, dove sul pittogramma c'è la macchina con il sacchetto. Nelle altre 2 posizioni la macchina rimane spenta. All interno della macchina si trova il rotolo del sottovuoto e la comoda taglierina per tagliare i sacchetti a misura. Il di solito srotolo il foglio appena fuori dalla macchina e lo sigillo, poi lo taglio alla lunghezza che mi occorre e lo taglio. Dopo aver inserto l alimento, va messo con la goffratura verso l alto e con i lembi del sacchetto piegati leggermente nella vaschettina di raccolta liquidi amovibile. A questo punto si è pronti a mettere sottovuoto e a sigillare il sacchetto. Vi consiglio inoltre di scrivere la data e l alimento sul sacchetto se avete intenzione di mettere in freezer. Spero di aver detto tutto, posso consigliarla, è pratica, ben fatta e robusta. La uso per la cottura CBT in casa e ci troviamo bene. Grazie per aver letto la mia onesta recensione. 😉
