The content of the book is excellent, as described, kids loved it. BUT the condition of it was quite disgusting. Horrid greasy film all over the cover, and something all on the corner and the pages looked like they had been wet at some point. They had that wavy appearance that harkens when moisture affects books.

This is a great book at a great price for a great little device - the Makey Makey. Many of the projects are on the advanced end, but don't be alarmed by that. The authors have done a great job documenting the projects and providing great instructions both for the physical builds and for the bits of coding that are sometimes required (usually in Scratch - a free, easy, visual programming language). The book also includes several projects using the Makey Go, the Makey Makey's smaller cousin.

This is a perfect gift for the out-of-the-box thinker in your house. I gave this to my 10 year old on his birthday and he loves picking out projects and going online to code. There's a lot of additional materials you'll need to complete each project, so my advice would be to plan ahead (unless you have a great network of stores nearby) but once you have everything in place, the projects are creative and exciting.
