These hooks work well but read the instructions.

I use these to hold my rabbits' hat bag on the wall. I'm so impressed because the rabbits pull on the bag so hard, plus they stand up and put their paws on it. I really did not expect them to stay up! Been up for weeks now and are regularly tested by my bunnies.

Easy to fit on to wall ideal for picture frames

The 3M Command range, originally only of hooks in a few sizes, was intended initially to be used in 'dry' environments for use as coat hooks, for towels, bath robes etc but not necessarily where the product may be affected by steam or moisture. Although I have used several of the identical hook and also the smaller version, and they have survived for several years of constant use although a few have needed to be replaced eventually, I was not aware of the existence of the 'waterproof' version. The difference exists only in the nature of the strips used and not anywhere else. The hook appears to be appears to be a single moulding but is an assembly of the hook mounted on a back-plane. If, when installed on a surface you firmly push upwards on the hook, it will lift from the back-plane and expose a pull tab. Pulling on that tab will stretch it and break the seal. The principle is simple; the strips allow semi-permanent installation of one or several hooks which may be removed and re-used, if needed to be relocated, removed or possibly upgraded. The hook can be re-used if the non-reusable strip is replaced, either with the spare normally provided or if you buy a pack of spare strips which are available in several sizes. Proper preparation of the surface to which the hook is to be attached is essential and, if the instructions are correctly followed and especially in relation to the differently coloured sides, the hook should be usable for several years. I have some other products with non water-resistant strips that have been in continuous use in a location for several years and I have not yet had the indignity of one falling off either almost immediately after installion or ever. I have experienced a couple of breakages but only if accidentally overloaded, in one instance with an over-wet towel when several in succession were safely held for years both dry and mildly damp or when the material ages and yellows. Especially useful in the bathroom, shower or laundry room although I have experienced success with the standard 'non-waterproof' version used in the bathroom, when I did not have the option to use this version. They can be attached to tiles, glass (especially the thick and strengthened type used in showers), metal and painted or laquered wood and several other smooth surfaces. When correctly installed, they should never fall off and I have never yet experienced that happening with more than 20 having been used over time. In any event, the adhesive used with these feels far tackier than is 'normal'.

I wanted to use these as hooks for tie -backs, for some light weight curtains. I needed the hold to be on the uPVC trim around the window, so didn't really want to drill holes. The hooks went up easily, following the installation instructions, and seem to be quite strong. Admittedly there is very little weight on them, and as not in a bathroom, they shouldn't be getting wet! They are in situ, doing the job I wanted then to do, time will tell how long they last and if they are easy to remove cleanly and without damage.

I used these to attach a ceramic clock to bathroom tiles. The manufacturer text warns against attaching anything "valuable" using them. A single hook's weight rating was well above weight of the clock. Just in case I used two hooks, one as a backup, both attached strictly following the manufacturer's instructions. The first hook failed after four hours, fortunately the second hook stayed fixed. I replaced the first hook with a new adhesive pad and both are still attached after some weeks. They're good, but as the manufacturer themselves accept, they're not 100% reliable.

These are expensive for what they are but I've had them up for 10 months and they show no signs of going anywhere. I wanted to hang towels on the back of the bathroom door and didn't want to do something permanent. My towels are huge and heavy and these hold them fine.

Holds a razor or toothbrush while in the shower. It’s better than the metal ones cause it doesn’t rust. And using the 3m stickup is so functional and you won’t have to worry about it losing suction. Great value for the money. Very hard and sturdy.

These do not adhere to smooth tiles. I followed the instructions to the letter, waited well over an hour before hanging anything on them. One came off within a few hours and the other came off the next day. Not impressed and more so because this is not a "cheap" product.
