Perfect blend of functionality, style, and performance without breaking the bank.
**5 Stars: Exceptional Gaming Keyboard!** I couldn't be happier with this keyboard! From the moment I plugged it in, I knew I had made the right choice. The build quality is outstanding, with a solid, durable feel that promises longevity. The LED lighting is a visual treat, offering three vibrant colors—red, blue, and purple—that add a dynamic flair to my gaming setup. The keys provide a mechanical feel that is a game-changer, giving tactile feedback and a satisfying click with every press. This has significantly improved my typing speed and accuracy, not to mention the incredible responsiveness during intense gaming sessions. Considering all these features, this gaming keyboard offers incredible value for its price. It's a perfect blend of functionality, style, and performance without breaking the bank. Highly recommended for both casual and hardcore gamers alike!

it is what it is
i like the gentle clicks it makes and not the strong clicks other mechanical keyboards make. it feels strong and i like the rainbows. it has an option to change the lights from a still to like this flashing/fading thing but i don't use that. it looks good (though since i play a lot of games and im a coward, the S key is gradually getting scratched off lmao) it works pretty well and it feels good to use. the ize is great because the lasy mechanical keyboard i had was way to big (im small with small hands) so a smaller keyboard not only gives me more space on my desk but feels better to use

Not bad as a spare keyboard if your real mechanical keyboard breaks.
I needed a spare keyboard after my actual mechanical keyboard broke and my usual spare dome keyboard also ended up being faulty so time for a new spare. It's pretty cheap in cost and looks nice enough. It'll do me until my next payday when I can pick up a new mechanical keyboard and if I have any issues I have a solid spare just in case. So this is a standard dome keyboard that has raised keys and back lighting to imitate the look and feel of a real mechanical keyboard. It does an okay job of doing that but the keys feel a lit flimsier and slippery than your standard mechanical keyboards do and if you pick it up it feels lightweight despite the chunky looking build. The lighting looks nice and comes in a rainbow pattern which isn't very bright but I don't like it bright anyway, you can set it to breathing or regular or turn it off. No ability to customise colours or anything fancy like that. No programmable macros or anything that I saw in the manual. I think the key is to not expect too much from it. For gaming the keyboard is a bit small and can be frustrating to use. I regularly mash the wrong keys by accident and typing takes some getting used to on this keyboard. I wouldn't want to use this as my regular keyboard for a long period of time but as a spare it does the trick and it looks nice, it actually looks like a more expensive keyboard than it is so I don't have to stare at a cheap looking keyboard for a few weeks until I can get a new decent mechanical keyboard. So yeah as a main keyboard for a gamer I don't recommend but anyone looking for a cheap spare or a keyboard for your kids first PC that looks nice then I would say this is a solid buy.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
I've had this keyboard for around three weeks now, and I can easily say it's the best keyboard I've owned! Granted, I haven't owned many that I've really wanted to, and so I'm no expert but it works, looks amazing and feels great to type on too. The overall design of the keyboard is slightly slimmer and less wide than a usual keyboard by the fact that the base has been reduced slightly in thickness, and there's very little border around the keys, this, however doesn't make it any less sturdy. The layout's fantastic - all keys are easy to read and decipher even when the back lighting is turned off, and there are signal lights to show "number lock / caps lock / scroll lock" which are obvious and in a perfect place (top right-hand corner). The key to turn the back lighting on / off is easy to spot as showing a small sun-like symbol, placed in between the right-hand FN (function) key, and Ctrl (control) key. The keyboard's weight is decent, slightly more than I imagined, but lighter than any regular keyboard. The colours don't change or rotate, and you can't fix them to one specific colour, but to me the full rainbow is what I was looking for in a backlit gaming keyboard, which looks good in full light, but looks even better in darker settings. The only thing I had to get used to whilst typing on this keyboard, was the Enter key; it's an oblong shape, so I had trouble adapting to not pressing a little above it while I typed. On one final note, the wire is shorter than I expected meaning I had to find some extension cords to be able to plug it into the back of my computer, but it works completely perfectly, and that is my one and only downside. For those worried: - It came in good time - It looks exactly as it does in the picture shown - It's well packaged and came with instructions to help you set up, along with contact information so you could get hold of the seller if need be (I had no reason to) - Great quality for the price paid, would DEFINITELY use this seller again :) EDIT - as a quick update, I have now had this keyboard for round about 2 years, and I still use it every single day without any issues. Still as good as the day I got it :)

OK keyboard, but it definitely shows the low price
I am definitely surprised to read so many excited reviews of this keyboard - I am pretty sure many of the reviewers never really tried a really good one. But, it's not that it's something to be thrown into the garbage bin, given the price I actually decided to keep it until I can find a nice offer on the ones I'm aiming at. So, why is it actually a decent keyboard? 1 - The typing is actually nice - the keys are springy and give a nice feedback, but it's still kind of silent like a normal membrane. The keys stay in place and don't wobble (besides maybe when you hit the spacebar on the side, but it's still tons better than what I sometimes had from big brands basic keyboards) 2 - It's backlit - but more about that later as many defects are also related to this 3 - No ridiculous gaming font used on the keys, and the position of 2nd/3rd characters are standard (one below the other, no almost attached or side-by-side characters) Why does it feel so cheap and you might not like it? 1 - Keys are not individually lit, but it's the membrane below which got the leds. The light spreads very un-evenly to the keys, and while it remains decently lit when seen from above, at normal typing angles (keyboard on the desk) many keys look like not being lit at all, or lit only in part - same for the area under the keys 2 - Cheap paint job, to spread the light the bottom area of each key is white but it's full of black paint spray which made it through. This is also noticeable on the sides of the keycaps, and is more noticeable when the light is on 3 - As others said, the logo is so ugly... there's a nice one on the box and on the pics of other Rii products on Amazon, but here it's really just a "Rii" written in arial font 4 - The keyboard is not stable - the base flexes a lot. This normally means that it might not last a lot (time will see) and if you're a heavy hand typer you'll notice the keycaps tops coming next to each other increasing your typing errors. Even removing the risers on the bottom keeps the keyboard tall enough to flex 5 - It's tall from the place where it sits - it screams for a wrist rest 6 - N-keys rollover is terrible - on some keys combos on the right side I wasn't able to get more than 3 keys recorded at the same time (a good usb keyboard with no specific implementation would normally record 6), there seems to be some anti ghosting though especially on the left side keys and there I have arrived to up to 7 keys being recorded. Yet no indication is given on which keys have that available so it's ultimately up to you to see if some complex combos would ultimately work or not

Even my Grandmother wants one!
I purchased this product as our main family computer is in a dark area in our living room and so when it got later in the evening it was difficult to see the keys, even with all the lights on! So I did some research and found this little gem for only £9.99, although I was skeptical of the price at first since my personal keyboard is backlit and worth around £50 when I bought it so I was suspicious of the build quality. Once the product arrived it came in nice secure packaging. It was very easy to set up and start with no issues whatsoever really, which was a nice start. The keys aren't completely like a conventional mechanical keyboard as it is only "Mechanical Feeling" as it states, however the keys still have a nice proper feel to them as you type. all the keys seemed to work fine and nothing was amiss, again I was impressed thus far. Now to the main reason I purchased this keyboard. The backlighting. I had read a few reviews that people were saying that it was too dim, even in the darkly lit corner of our living room, it seemed to be shining bright, very visible in all lighting! My parents had tried it out individually themselves and both seemed very impressed! The build quality seems solid and the keys have a very nice feel to them, the backlighting not only looks very appealing but also is very functional for those struggling to see the keys in darker lighting. I personally prefer darker lit rooms so it's perfect for myself. Compared to my £50 Keyboard, I'll admit it isn't as impressive, but surprisingly, it isn't far off! And considering the difference in price and value for money, I would definitely have to recommend this piece of equipment. A day after purchasing the product and my father has already taken to showing off the new cool looking keyboard and in only one day after the products arrival, my grandmother wants one herself! A second one already ordered and no complaints from her either, so it seems to fit all demographics! Very impressed, would have to try some other Rii products in the future.
