Bought as a gift. Was small and mighty. Works extremely well. Sharpened the knifes after three passes through the blade. Would highly recommend

It's a generally good product that does exactly what they say it does, sharpens your knife! Others have alluded to the fact you can see little metal shavings coming off the knife so you really feel like it's doing something. I would then of course suggest you use a honing steel to ensure that there are no micro-metals still on the knife, I'm sure you wouldn't want them in your food. The gadget itself is a little smaller than I imagined it would be, about the size of a tangerine or small apple. The suction isn't the best, and for safety I really would recommend reapplying the suction after every stroke of the knife to ensure it doesn't accidentally slip, but that could also be due to the worktop I have been trying it out on. I imagine, on reflection, that if I used it on my glass hob I might get 3-4 swipes before any movement started to occur... Okay, update. I went to try and am now updating my suction rating to a 5/5. Couldn't get it off the glass when I tried and to this company's credit, it probably suggested that somewhere, I'm just not fantastic at reading every single word... You know what I mean, right? Long story short, I'd do it on smooth glass where possible (Of course not on the window!!) Moving on... The knives themselves feel sharper straight away after using, though I will state that I haven't yet tried it on the types of serrated blades it promises to be able to sharpen. I bought this after chickening out at getting good with the Whetstone I had also purchased... I have every confidence that this will keep my tomato slicing razor thin, until I work up the courage to give it a go! And it's so effective that I'm sure it will take me even longer to jump that hurdle... lol. Thanks for reading

Every knife in the house is now sharp and a pleasure to use, which is what these small sharpeners are meant for. Cheap as chips and easy to use, integral clamp makes them safe when used on a smooth none porous surface.

Can't express how solidly this attaches to a surface to make it sturdy for use, it's brilliant. You can orientate it in the best way for what you need and when you've done, it's easy to release and doesn't leave a mark. It's a small device but does the job of sharpening knocks and scissors effectively.

Love this item because it is compact and does'nt take up much room. I sharpened a serrated knife that I have had for years that was blunt. It is so sharp now that it cuts perfectly. Be careful of your fingers because this item sharpens, so sharply that I forgot and sliced my finger. It works so well!

I've had some very mixed results with this - I've got a variety of knives in the kitchen from some very cheap ones to a couple of mid-range ones (£25-£30 per knife). This worked really well on the cheaper knives, but has caused significant damage to a couple of my better ones. I think its less suited to the harder metal that the more expensive ones are made from. In fairness, I think the damage is probably at least in part user error on my part by applying too much pressure - but given how its marketed I dont think thats a reasonable excuse. It either shouldnt be possible to damage the blade - or there should be some very, very clear warnings on the package (I mean a block red letter slip wrapped around the unit) So overall - I wouldn't buy again - but I will be keeping it to take on holiday as a quick way to put an edge on cheaper knives in holiday apartments (that often feel like they'd struggle to spread butter) I've ended up buying a proper knife repair/maintenance kit (Lansky) to fix the edge on the couple of knives damaged by using this device.

My kitchen knives seem to get blunt quite quickly so this sharpener is handy to have - small and compact and does the job. On trying it out the first time I found I couldn’t use it on my kitchen worktop as it didn’t hold the suction and kept moving, however, son in law to the rescue and he tried it out on the tiled surface of the kitchen window sill and the suction was great - stayed firm until opened to release. Happy with purchase.

Die Messer 3-5x in ZUGRICHTUNG und sie gleiten wieder durch Tomate, Karotte, Kartoffeln, Fisch und Fleisch. Wir waren nach anfänglicher Skepsis so begeistert, dass wir uns für einen erneuten Kauf und Ersatzklingen entschieden. Die Zeit wird zeigen, ob hopp oder top!
