Had it just over a month, Water, tank, and plants. and fish love it, set up looks so much better. Found mine to be super easy to set up, check, and clean. Very quite motor only noise is from spay head if above water. Good Flow. Used to have an old Fluval 205, Ran both filters together for 2 weeks to cycle the new All Pond pump and water tests only ever got better after turning off old pump. Did have to put a bit of filter foam over the intake but only because my fish have now started to spawn. External piping and plastic feels a bit cheaper than big name brands but looks and works really well, the pump is really good quality build in my mind. Great purchase for those on a budget and love their fish.

This is my second 1000EF filter and is working flawlessly. When setting up, I shortened the pipes to a usable length to allow for maintenance, whilst closing the valves, filling the output tube with water before fixing and securing to the outlet pipe, this helps priming when first setting up, after filling the canister up with water. So when the tank is full all you need to do is open the valves, the water is pulled into the canister expelling air as it goes. The bottom of the canister I fill with the ceramic rings it comes with to help settlement with coarse medium and fine pads in the bottom basket to mechanically clean the water. The other two trays are filled with biological media and the carbon pad that came with the filter at the very top to chemically treat the water (this lasts about 4-6 weeks) and can be replaced or dispensed with. For the price a really good filter. I would recommend buying this filter, but remember when cleaning out seat the trays properly to prevent leakage (1 of the complaints I’ve read in reviews) the first one I got is still running on another tanks after many years and keeps the tank crystal clear.

Fab product, half the price of the more famous filter brand. Works perfectly and quiet too.

It’s a brilliant filter the only thing is I have a 200l tank and it doesn’t seem very powerful, the pump gets cleaned often but it’s not enough to move the water around the tank

Was thinking for a while of getting a canister as the OEM filter system on my Askoll tank didn't seem to be up to the job anymore and was getting expensive having to replace the filter sponges and carbon every month. Found a lot of the other makes very expensive. Then saw this one the 1000 ltr type. Easy setup loads of room in the baskets for filter media, and a good system for maintenance and cleaning, it's very quiet can hardly hear the pump when inside my tank stand and the water is crystal clear, after 24 hours tested the water and the readings were perfect would recommend this product if you are thinking of getting an affordable unit

NOTE READ LATEST UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM BEFORE READING THE REST OF THE REVIEW AND DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!!! So firstly the issues, the pump could be quieter, it has a general hum that is not as quiet as I expected, I haven't housed it in the cabinet it is due to go in yet and I am sure this will reduce the noise but it is still quite noticeable. The bend on the output pipe is not adequate as the spray bars wont sit in the water ( I have a jewel 180 litre and the max water level marked on the tank is lower then the lowest setting for the spray bar) This is pretty stupid as a bigger bend by even an inch would solve this and if you wanted it higher you could just have a bit more bend protruding from the tank. The pipes are very stiff and hard to fit and wont push far onto the fittings but I am hoping they are on enough to stay on. Everything could be a bit longer, the pipes and the electric cable. Lastly and most frustrating, the second video on here showing you how to install is, I am guessing for an earlier model as none of the parts in the video match the parts in the box! It doesn't come with 4 suction pads as stated, it comes with two, almost all the fittings are different to the video which is not only miss selling but makes it harder to work out how to set up and install. So now the positives, It filters 1000L per hour and is fairly big and solid, with plenty of scope to modify the filter media, its only £49 with free deliver and came the next day, so you do get a decent bang for your buck once it is up and running. I want to give it 4 stars, but as I didn't get what is in the video and its not as quiet as I hoped I can't give it more then 3 stars, but hopefully it will be just about fit for purpose and is far cheaper then other brands and models with a similar spec. If I could give it 3 and half I would! EDIT 30.06.20 I have upgraded this to 4 stars, as now I have let the pump run for a few days it is far quieter then on set up. It may have had some air trapped or just needed to settle in but I am now happy with the ambient noise level. UPDATE!! 20.09.20 Currently in the process today of ripping this filter out and replacing it. In the last 3 months it has totally stopped twice and it is a nightmare to get running again and a nightmare to prime, when I have been able to get it working again the output is barely a trickle and is so bad I have had to have another pump running just to get some water movement and air in the tank. I also had a professional pool and pond service agent look at this and he couldn't get it to perform either, so I know its not me. AVOID THIS JUNK AT ALL COSTS!! DIDN'T LAST 4 MONTHS!!!

Bought this in an emergency after my old Fluval 403 failed, had a delivery problem but it turned up unexpectedly after saying it would be delayed for 5 days, on the upside customer services were very reactive, it's a good bit bigger than the Fluval, build quality is excellent bar the baskets which are a little flimsy but work, the included media is junk but hey it's free, ditch the bio balls, no use here, you can stick some of the ceramic media right in the bottom below the baskets then get some pond sponges, the three grade ones and cut them to fit the bottom basket, there's room to get one of the included white mats on top, the other two baskets you can fill with your favourite media, I like Alfagrog, that's it. Runs quiet, flows better than my Fluval, the way the pipes unclip is excellent and the included pipework more than sufficient. Totally recommend.

Cette pompe (100l/h) est idéale pour des petits bacs jusqu'à 100 litres. Peu voire pas de bruit, je dors à quelques mètres et je n'entends pas la pompe. Mais pour faire le grognon, 2 points ont retenu mon attention. La longueur des pipes est super longue. Il faut donc procéder à la coupe. Surtout la crépine a des trous d'aspiration très gros. Si vous faites de la crevette ou du petit poisson pensez à mettre un collant ou un tissu fin autour.

Filtre externe acheté pour un aquarium ouvert d'une capacité de 100 litres, fonctionne correctement, le débit est suffisant pour bien brasser cette quantité d'eau, attention à bien remplir jusqu'aux supports des tuyaux fixés sur l'aquarium pour pouvoir facilement amorcer la pompe, également attention le "out" écrit sur la pompe correspond à la sortie d'eau de l'aquarium et le "in" à l'arrivée d'eau dans l'aquarium, pour finir le bruit est très raisonnable et ne ce remarque vraiment que la nuit.

Notre pompe était HS et après avoir lu les commentaires, nous avons choisit celle-ci. Elle fonctionne très bien, ne fait pas de bruit. Achat 100% satisfaisant !!
