Work great, great price
EDIT 4 month update - I’ve been using these for about four months now and at first I didn’t use them much and I couldn’t say they were having a big impact on my workouts until I used them with pull downs and split squats. The difference these grips make is literally an extra 3-4 reps, once you don’t have to think about holding onto the weight it really opens up the mind muscle connection and you can focus on making your muscles work.I’ve seen some other reviews talking about poor quality and sizing/strap too short, the pair I’ve received aren’t the leather ones and they’ve held up perfectly. If your finding the strap too short chances are you’re using them wrong. The strap doesn’t need to fold all the way round the bar and it doesn’t even need to be tight. I think the way they work is imagine an alternative grip you (shouldn’t) use for a dead lift, one hand stops the bar from rotating forward one hand stops it from rotating back, I believe the grips achieve this affect but in one hand.-The reason I bought these is because I’d seen Dr Mike Israetel recommend Versagrips. They cost about £70 in the UK... Bear Grips do not.The point of this accessory is to stop grip being a limiting factor in exercise where you’re pulling or holding a decent amount of weight. If you think “ha just train your grip strength!”Well is your grip ever going to be stronger than your lats or entire back? Or your hamstrings and glutes? No it’s not. And you will likely find that your grip fatigues before your primary moving muscles do. So why lose potential gains because your grip has fatigued.I’ve used them for a few exercises so far. Hanging leg raises, pull ups and stiff leg deadlifts. I don’t use them all the time only when my grip does become the limiting factor. I’ll start with chalk then move to the Bear Grips of I need to.It’s very surprising how once you don’t have to worry about your grip you can really focus on the primary moving muscles and focus on that mind muscle connection. I especially found this doing back exercises. The grips are fairly comfortable but I’m sure as they’re broken in they’ll become more comfortable. The fastenings feel very secure and they’re much easier than traditional wraps to apply to a barbell. The only situation I wouldn’t use these is if you deadlift and your goal is to get stronger and stronger. That’s a situation where you need to have a raw grip. Use chalk and use a hook grip. No ones impressed by a 500lb deadlift with grips or wraps and it doesn’t count...But if you’re goal is purely hypertrophy then use the grips but you probably shouldn’t be conventional deadlifting in the 1st place.Altogether very pleased with the Bear Grips and I’m sure they’ll be part of my array of gym accessories for a while to come.

Every Gym User Should Have These
Having tried just about every type of gym strap available, from wraps to hooks, I was left speechless by this offering from Bear Grip.I saw the recommendation by Dr Mike on his Renaissance Periodization videos for this style of grip but the ones he named are over £60. I saw these Bear Grips for under £20 and they look identical. I read the reviews and they were stellar so I took a punt. I am so glad I did. They arrived quickly and in brand new condition. I tried them today and I can honestly say that all the other grips I have are going in a storage bag in the garage as I won’t ever be using them again.Simply put, these are perfect. They take all the effort of gripping heavy weights out of the equation and leave you to focus on the core muscles you are targeting. So today I shrugged 36kg dumbbells with ease. I could have held them for an hour as my grip just didn’t give up. I was left to make a mind connection with my traps and I have never hit them like this before. Amazing.Yes, it probably means I am taking out some of the grip training from my forearms but this should easily be compensated for by the rise in the weights I can handle. I moved rapidly through the dumbbell rack and ended on the 44kg and I still could have gone higher. The straps are very accommodating for a wide range of wrist thickness so pretty much one size fits all. On the inside are two foam cushioning pads that mean despite the heavy weight, the straps do not dig into the skin on the wrists - making them super comfy. There is no faffing about like with regular straps when it comes to wrapping the bar. You simply flick the tongue over and the material is rigid and tactile enough to grab on the other side under the fleshy part of your palm. There is no time wasted and you can begin the exercise immediately. Also, unlike with hooks you aren’t stuck at the end with the heavy load in tired arms because you are able to effortlessly disengage from the weight by simply loosening the fingers and lifting the palm to release the tongue. Therefore you can knock out those final fatiguing reps safe in the knowledge you won’t get in a difficult disengagement at the end.I wanted to add some negatives to balance the review but I seriously can’t.I come from a family with seamstresses and so I know about stitches too and the needle work on these is perfect. Absolutely no issues with the quality control. I can see these lasting until my old age.I even chatted with the company. They are clearly 100% behind their product with exemplary customer support.I recommend any gym goer, from amateur to professional, to grab a pair of these. You won’t be disappointed.

Very good product (2+ years of use)
I’ve been using these regularly for over 2 years now for heavy pulling exercises (weighted pull-ups, barbell shrugs, all kinds of rows). The rubber grip is excellent. They are grippy enough to feel very secure and to give me confidence on the heavier pulls, taking my forearms almost completely out of the equation for better focus on the lats/traps etc. It took maybe 3 or 4 workouts for my hands to get used to the rubber, but once they did these have been consistently comfortable and reliable. The length is enough to wrap around any standard 20kg barbell or dumbbell that I’ve come across. It’s just about enough for the bulkiest machine handles too. As shown in the pictures, the rubber has shown no sign of degradation.Importantly, it is easy to wrap these straps around the barbell/dumbbell one-handed. There isn’t a steep learning curve with these - just use your thumb to guide the rubber strap around, then grab it with your fingers and pull it in to tighten the grip. The foam padding around the wrists is comfortable enough to not be a distraction while using them, provided you’re not wearing them for hours. I have super sensitive skin that will react to pretty much anything but I’ve found that they are absolutely fine with these. The velcro strap was sturdy for a long time, though I’ve found that it has started to fray (as shown in the picture) meaning they are starting to come undone on the super heavy lifts, which is why I’m replacing these. For less than £25 it’s still a solid deal in terms of longevity, and of course less than half the price of the other influencer-peddled brands. I am replacing them with the exact same ones - while in an ideal world they would have lasted a bit longer, I still think that 2 years of heavy use is a reasonable length of time for the price.I would definitely recommend these over the far more expensive brands. They do their job brilliantly and feel like a sturdy high-quality product.

Much better for my small hands and wrists
After trying the Bear Grip workout gloves, I found these straps/hooks suited me much better. I have very small hands and wrists, and these make it much easier to maintain a secure grip when lifting heavier weights without my hands fatiguing as quickly. They feel sturdy, well made, and provide good support during exercises such as deadlifts and rows. The hooks are easy to use and help me focus more on the movement itself rather than worrying about my grip strength.Everyone's preferences will be different, but for me these were a much better fit than traditional lifting gloves. They've made my workouts more comfortable and enjoyable, and I'm very pleased with them.

Really great for pulldowns. Just gives you that extra bit of grip, and I find I can definitely go heavier using these

First time my back has felt sore after a workout
I don't usually write reviews but damn. I am so impressed. I got influenced by Dr Mike but couldn't afford the versa straps, these looked to be the next best thing and oh my god they are definitely worth it. I've tried the normal lifting straps before but they never really worked, always still kept the strain on my fingers and actually made the exercises harder. I think because my hands are small the way they wrap kept shifting to my palm rather than transfer the weight to my wrist. I wasn't expecting much with these new style straps but for £20 it was worth a shot.Anyway, i did my upper body workout and wow. i didn't feel my fingers burning. everything was solid and secure. all my pulling back movements felt great and i definitely squeezed out a few more reps each set because i wasn't being limited by grip. I woke up this morning and thought something was wrong, my back was sore. but not in a "oh man i've pulled something sleeping weird" sore, but in a holy crap my actual lats and upper back are sore for the first time in my life?? Feeling soreness in a place i've never felt before gave me so much joy that only gym-goers know. That sweet sweet soreness of victory. So if that isn't a sign to just give them a go, i don't know what is.I'm excited for my leg day today, usually my RDLs fail because everything except my hamstrings is burning rather than the targeted muscle. Deadlifts also. Very excited. Thank you BEAR GRIP for providing an amazing affordable alternative.I've seen some other reviews that they can break down faster but at the end of the day, if they last me over a year before wear and tear to the point i cant use them... i can buy them 4 times before it would cost the same as the versa grip.So yeah, if you have small hands and wrists like me, try them. I'm not going to say it'll 100% work for you but it really changed by lifts instantly. As a woman with small hands and small wrists, i recommend.

I can lift more weight now
I bought this because my hands are very small and hurt and limits the amount of weight that I can work with, specially during leg daysI already tried it and it definitely works. There is no need to wear gloves anymore because the material is soft to touch. You have to learn the trick to holding them, but once you get the hang of it, it's very easy; the trick is to use your thumbs as I do in the video

BEAR GRIP: Multi Grip Straps
I have previously purchased a couple of BEAR GRIP products and have been happy with them—so when I saw these I thought I would give them a try.Originally I bought the small version but they were really too small for me (barely touching the Velcro), so I had to return and exchange for the regular sized one.Unfortunately now I have the opposite problem where not all the strap sticks down, making it poke out. This has been problematic for me when I'm using the V-bar row as the straps ends poking out jabs me during the movement. The quality of the product is undeniably good quality, but I feel like a more simple and thinner strap that can wrap an the way around would have been a better design.I think my problem is my wrist size is slap bang between the small and regular sized straps.

Bon grip
C’est la 3e fois que je les achète.Elles ont un bon grip, ne glisse pas. Je les change au bout de quelques mois d’utilisation car la gomme s’estompe et le scratch n’est plus très efficace.Je recommande

Highly recommend
These grips are amazing. I have other brands and they just aren't as durable or as strong.I have very poor grip strength due to arthritis in my hand but these allow me to achieve lifting heavier weights than ive been able to in the past helping me break some savage personal best records.

Gute Zughilfe
Nach den ersten Trainingseinheiten hat sich gezeigt, dass die Zughilfen gut verarbeitet sind und recht angenehm zu tragen sind. Alles in allem machen sie was sie sollen und unterstützen das Training.
