Plug and play - no drivers needed.
Very easy to setup, I just connected my monitors to the HDMI adapter and then connected the USB-C end to my dock and it worked straight away. 4K HDR sent to my monitor! Definitely worth buying.

Just worked. Easy, no driver needed (on Win 11), even copes with a monitor in portrait mode.
Excellent! Plugged it into Win11 system, and it just worked. No driver installation needed. It was also fine with the fact that my 2nd monitor is in portrait orientation. (This is much better than the generic unbranded device I tried before, which wouldn't work in portrait mode, despite the resolution being in spec, and which required a driver to do anything.)

Better than the cheap alternatives
Had previously purchased an adapter for a tenner off Amazon, worked okish for a week, before becoming too hot to touch and the screen flickering. This works perfectly - more expensive but hand don’t get burnt touching it and video quality ace. Easy installation - Download driver, restart computer and plug in and away. Highly recommended.

Works well
Works well and fixed an issue where a USB C adapter didn't work as the port didn't support the correct protocol. A bit expensive but Startech does tend to be reliable and better quality than some unknown brands.

Make sure to install the drivers before connecting it.
Works well: Bought to add an extra display on a new HP pavillion laptop. Laptop had one HDMI and a USB-C that didn't support display output. Did some research and this Startech device looked suitable. Unboxed and downloaded the drivers utility from the website as per the instructions in the box. Rebooted connected the device to the laptop and second monitor and it worked straight away. Does exactly what it's supposed to.

Perfect picture quality
Very easy to use. Just download the drivers first then plug into a standard usb port. My laptop found it all straight away and when plugged the HDMI cable in, the TV also found it straight away. Picture quality is good and showing the picture as HD as it should do. Not like some of the cheaper ones I saw on here where reviews said they only gave 720. Size is also perfect so it means it's easy to carry around with you if needed. I will be using mine for Karaoke. Bought during Amazon prime so was definitely worth the price at the time.

Good FVM, adding an 'emergency' extra screen was easy!
I'm shortly about to change my PC as it won't support Windows 11, conversely being a top of the line unit back in the day it is still pretty usable now. It supports 2 monitors natively but I needed a third. Enter this unit which allowed to do that in seconds. I have written a dissertation and now ordered a new PC. This is a handy unit to have, though. As long as you install the drivers from the website BEFORE plugging it in, I was up and running in seconds.
