This is a great Vitamin C serum. I’m really happy with both the ingredient list and the results. It gives a subtle brightening effect and helps even out my skin texture. It doesn’t irritate my skin at all, and it has no strong or unpleasant scent, which I really appreciate since I can’t stand heavily fragranced face products. It applies nicely, absorbs well, and doesn’t leave my skin looking overly shiny like many others do. Great value for the price, and I will definitely repurchase.

I love this stuff, it smells good but has no perfume or irritants for my skin, it has not caused any acne. It already is helping my dark spots and is such a good deal for what the product is. It is super smooth and not sticky at all which is what I wanted. I also already love all vanicream products so this was a plus to find this product in the same brand. Overall it has had great effectiveness and I love the quality. I will be repurchasing as soon as I run out. Also I am super picky with skin products as I have eczema and like the most sensitive skin on the planet, so take that how you will!

Milky, lightweight serum which absorbs quickly into the skin. Noticeable brightness and flow to my skin. Made for sensitive skin and fragrance free, but still strong to deliver results. My go to, have been using for years. Dries quickly and feels amazing. A lot goes a long way and the bottle is a great convenient size.

Perfection! My skin is sensitive and I can't take the fancy, "sophisticated " ingredients that come in many serums and moisturizers. FINALLY - a vitamin C serum that doesn't break me out! It goes on milky and absorbs right away. I then layer on my daily moisturizer before then following with sunscreen. I couldn't be happier!

I've been using this vitamin C serum for a week. and really like its creamy, light formula and the effects on my skin -- it looks brighter and smoother after application and throughout the day. I have noticed some light redness and a couple breakouts, but my skin is prone to sensitivity and that is not uncommon. If I ever find a product that doesn't have either of those effects, it will become my holy grail. My reason for the four-star rating is not due to the serum but the pump dispenser which requires shaking the tube multiple times and several pumps before product is dispensed (just give me the product already!). My vote is still out on the price.

Great product! Absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy or tacky feeling on skin. I have an allergy to fragrance so finding products that are fragrance feee can be a pain sometimes. Vanicream vitamin see goes one step beyond just fragrance free and doesn’t use any masking fragrance either. This is perfect for those with sensitive skin. It last a long time too, a little goes a long way so no need to use copious amounts. This is my second tube and I’ll be purchasing my 3rd soon! As far as my skin appearance goes, my complexion is much brighter and appears more even toned.

Everytime I use a well-reviewed, well-regarded Vitamin C product, my skin will burn, sting, and turn red shortly after. It's no fault of the products, which are actually very beneficial to me, my skin just can't tolerate L-ascorbic acid. It's a shame because it's the most potent and proven form of Vitamin C in skincare but every time I think "well maybe this time I'll tolerate it..." I turn into a lobster. Vanicream's Vitamin C is the first one that hasn't given me a reaction! The main reason, from what I've found, is it uses THD Ascorbate, which is less irritating (but is likely less effective) than straight up L-ascorbic acid. I use it in the morning, and I buffer first with Vanicream moisturizer (I can use it by itself, but with actives I tend to always buffer with a moisturizer first). I use Vitamin C in the morning, and tretinoin (Altreno) at night. It's too early to say whether it's working its magic as I got it just a week ago and any improvement is probably in my head. However, so far, so good, and at least no harm has been done by using it. As a side note I highly recommend that you PATCH TEST before you slather this on your face. Not just because this is Vitamin C, but because all new skin care should be patch tested! Everyone's allergies and reactions to the same skincare product can be wildly different, and just because a product works for one person does not mean it will work for you. I usually patch test on the back of my hand first, then do a patch test on a small portion of my face (like a part of my chin or jawline), and if all is good in 24 hours, I will use it on the rest of my face. ** Update ** About 1.5 weeks in, I noticed that the area under my eyes where I've been applying the cream is looking more even, lighter, and a bit refreshed. If results are consistent, this Vitamin C will have a permanent place in my routine! ** Update ** It's been a month or more of using this - and I think it has a permanent place in my routine. THD Ascorbate is, from my anecdotal experience, much weaker than L-ascorbic acid which you will find in the SkinCeuticals and Timeless versions, but still hugely beneficial to me, especially considering I can ACTUALLY tolerate it on my skin. My skin tone is very even, has a kind of plump look and feel, and my face has a subtle glow! Would you notice it in a comparison photo? eh....probably not with my face. But it definitely shows in real life, and I'll take that over my usual lobster face.

Inflamed and caused flakes on my sensitive skin disrupting the skin barrier taking weeks to recover. Sadly, it does say this is suited for even sensitive skin however not mine, but I will not give it one star as I did love the silky texture and application, I just wouldn’t use a broad stroke recommending this for even “sensitive skin types”.

This is my second purchase of this Vitamin C serum. Goes on smoothly and doesn’t make my skin tingle or feel overly sensitive. I can use this twice a day and even together with retinoic acid which is unheard of. I believe it’s because of the THD ester form of vitamin C in this product which is suppose to be more stable. Topical Vitamin C with ascorbic acid tends to over sensitize my skin and stain my white clothes so I never have used up full containers but with this I’m already about to start a second tube and have 3 more back ups. If you’re using this with other actives like retinol/retnoic acid, I’d give about 10-20 minutes between the products to let them settle into skin. Other than that, this is my very favorite vitamin C serum that I’ll continue to use.

I've never used a skin cream before as my diet is great. I don't eat junk food or anything like that and use non-nano zinc sunscreen. However I started to get some dryness under the eyes. I researched many products using EWG and other sites making sure the ingredients were very safe. This cream had one of the best profile along with Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin. I bought both and the Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin didn't feel as nice on my skin. I was using both creams at the same time but on separate sides of my face to test them out. Both products completely got rid of the dryness. The vitamin C effects lasted longer when I stopped using both. I stopped because I thought it was fixed but it came back. I'm now only using the vitamin C one and I'll have to keep using it or find out what's causing the dryness. The vitamin C also smelled better.
