i really like this little hatchet. i was looking for a good carving hatchet but all i found till this one were just too large to really choke up on it. tough little thing truly hardened steel well honed genuine performance. for its size it hits hard when used properly wonderful grip well balanced for an AXE, but light enough to use all day rough carving and hoggin away material. choke up and the "neck" is so thin it it becomes a modified Knife. i used it on seasoned hardwood. i spilt the wood trimmed it down chopped into it and made a simple spoon about 30 min. it is good! (With a longer handle and the same size head with a more robust eye this could be a true work horse , final opinion)

My Honeybuns newest to! He really likes it! I guess I ordered the right hatchet 🪓! Yay! Great for the smaller jobs around the house, like chopping up kindling or branches. Wood handle is comfortable, but when y’all sweat it gets slippery. Otherwise it’s great quality and a terrific value! Holds an edge with good balance. Easy to use and performs as well as the person using it (Honeybuns, great! Me not so much!). Just try to keep y’all’s hands dry or wear gloves, the only complaint we have! Highly recommended! Well built and has worked well on all my outdoor outings in the mountains of Idaho.

Seems to be very good quality. Heavy weight and good balance. Plenty sharp as well. The leather sheath is thick and substantial. Stitching on sheath was coming undone when it arrived, but Amazon is already sending a replacement.

Update: The customer service is amazing! They reached out and replaced the hand ax, and the new one is great. I cannot wait to use it my next camping trip. The blade is not in line with the handle (offset/crooked) and it has multiple chips in the cutting edge. Other than that it feels like a sturdy hand ax and seemed very sharp. Just not comfortable using it with how out of line the axe blade is to the handle, I feel like its a good way to get hurt by a mis-strike.

I've only had it a few hours splitup about 8 pounds of kindling . Works great feels good .

Really like this axe. Feels nice and solid in your head. Have not actually used it yet but I am pleased with this purchase. Really nice leather cover for the blade.

This hatchet looks awesome, I wish I could give it 5 stars but I only cut kindling with it inside the house. If others in comments think it's durable for heavier use then consider my review a 5 star as well.

Gave this to my husband for Christmas. He loved it. He was impressed with the craftsmanship. It is very well made.

Axe head is ok, need working...rough edges and not sharp. Also not the best profile, but it can be fixed easily and. The over all shape is great, just need some refining ...the Handel came loose as soon as I looked at it..ended up saveing the barrel wedges and remounting on a new 21 inch handle ..it's perfect now.. that stupid curve in the old handle just hurts your wrist after a while...like I said stupid
