Quite Possibly The Best Weed Killer
I've been using Roundup for years and it always works very well, not just on stumps but also tough weeds on driveways and paths. First, a word or two of caution: 1. Don't use it on a windy day. Works best when the sun is shining when the air is dry. 2. Always wear a face mask and some protective gloves and footwear 3. Keep away from children, pets and fish tanks/ponds 4. To kill weeds where there are other plants nearby. Cover the other plants as much as you can and if need be paint the weed killer on the foliage of the weeds. 5. If you have chopped a bush or small tree/shrub. Paint the weedkiller on and then cover with a clear plastic bag held on by tape or an elastic band in case it rains. It will take longer to wipe out a stump but it will kill the deeply buried roots. 6. The concentrate form is best in terms of value for money 7. Try to avoid leaving it in a sprayer for a long period of time. It tends to clog up the misting nozzle. Good Luck - and if you can't get any round up use a high pressure steam jet or a kettle of hot water. :)

A very effective product, highly recommended
The 'residents' in my garden are die-hard weeds and the thick roots of a large shrub. My husband used a pressure spray to apply the Roundup solution and noticed positive results with the weed issue after a couple of days. After the second application, the weeds died completely! As expected, it took a little longer for the weedkiller to absorb into the shrub's deep roots, but eventually it did the job - it is now ready to be dug up. An area of grass which covers the length of our hedges was given one dose of weedkiller; it is now completely flattened and looks amazing! So, if we ever decided stop cutting the grass in our large garden permanently, we could simply use this product! A very effective product, highly recommended.

Didn’t work. Weeds thriving
Have bought this before and it does work really well, but you have to be patient as you don’t see the restore a couple of weeks. We’ve used on ivy and tree stumps. It obliterated the ivy which hasn’t come back a year later, and also stopped shoots coming out of tree stumps, The reason for a 3* rating is because the new bottle I ordered was received yesterday and first it wasn’t sealed and looked like a quarter had gone. There was no pipet, and then, most importantly, it was dated 01/2026 so was out of date. Easily sorted through customer support and a new one has been issued for delivery, but still irritating since I now can’t do what I had intended this weekend.

It kills not removes
Bought and used this last year in September. Used for two conifer stumps about 6" in diameter and three shrub stumps about 1-2" in diameter. Drilled holes as recommended and applied twice. This week, which is about nine months after applying the killer, I've finally got around to trying to get the stumps out. An important point to make is that it's a stump killer and not a stump rotter i.e. it stops further growth on the stump but doesn't rot the stump making it easy to get out of the ground. It does the same for the roots which are still as difficult to get out as before applying the killer. The shrub roots turned quite a bright yellow (which surprised me but is evidently common) and the conifer roots were a browny colour. When I bought it I was expecting it to rot the stumps but perhaps that was wishful thinking but it did kill the stumps so that was a good. Maybe if you leave it for a few years it may rot the stumps but I have no way of knowing. Overall I'm pleased that it prevents further growth from the stump but a tad disappointed that it didn't rot the stump.

As good as it gets
Takes a while to show effect that tough weeds are dying, but of course it takes time for it to reach the roots.
