very good product. my previous mower - a qualcast lawn mower - suddenly packed up after less than a year of use. i got this one because i saw how neat my neighbour's garden was after he's mowed his lawn. i didn't really know what product he used but i saw the orange colour and decided to search using the picture and shape i saw. glad i found this. performance is really good. it cuts really low. i was initially worried cos of reviews which says this product only is for low or medium grown grass. mine was neither - they were very high. i bought it to first try and see and if it doesn't work to return it. i was blown away by how smooth and low the this product cut my grass. it's grass collection is fantastic - nothing goes out meaning you spend less time mowing the lawns. the only drawback is that it does not catch the edge of the garden grasses i.e. the grasses about 20cm from the fence/wall due to the distance between the blade and the edge of the hover. the noise level is surprisingly very low. all in all, i am happy with the product and another neighbour has also enquired about my hover due to the neatness of cut and the patterns it creates on the lawn. highly recomended.

I had previously purchased a Qualcast from Argos, used it once (it was really flimsy and rubbish) and took it back. Argos were great and gave a full refund. I bought this Flymo HoverVac 280 from Amazon. It arrived early, much to my surprise, was completely set up, unlike the Qualcast which had to be partially built. You lifted it out the box and it was ready to go (though you may wish to first adjust the spacers for cutting). It is light and just the right size for me. I have a small garden at front and rear so perfect for the purpose. I took it right up to the edge with a bit of jostling to cut down on the strimmer job. It did leave a bit of cuttings on neighbours' paths but to get a machine that will not leave a scrap for this price would be a huge ask. It is sturdy, quality and exactly right for me (54 year old female with health issues). I'm delighted with it. Thanks to all the other reviewers on this, it helped me make the right decision in the end. Don't even try Qualcast - utter rubbish.

Being the first lawn mower I've ever owned/ used in my life, I was very pleased to find the item fully assembled in the box, very straight forward and easy to use! The basket collects very well and right to the top, a fair bit of grass does fly out of the sides as cutting but after using a strimmer to do my whole lawn last summer, plus raking up afterwards, I have to say I couldn't care less- still so much easier for me!! Just a quick sweep of the path afterwards is all it needs! The cut is perfect, not a single patch on my lawn was missed! Very lightweight, easy to push if your lawn is flat, if its very wildly bumpy (like one end of my lawn) you will find this mower impossible to move! Instructions say not to move from side to side but I've done this with no problem, much success! Cuts right up to my paved path with no stone damage however my bedding edges need strumming afterward, as expected. Very happy!

A really efficient electric mower but incredibly simple. I did read the manual but the only thing that isn't immediately obvious is how to adjust the blades up and down depending on how low a cut you want - it comes with its own spanner and 3 discs for different heights. The electric motor seems robust and reliable - and starting it is safe and easy. If you let go the handle it stops automatically which is an excellent safety feature. The flex is fairly long so if you have a tiny lawn you won't even need an extension lead. I did need one but that wasn't a problem and I cut a reasonable sized lawn in about 20 minutes, picking up the grass in the very easily removable grass box. This is an entirely logical, simple and easy machine which gives a good cut to the grass - okay, you don't get stripes, but the result is neat and tidy. First class. Probably what I would expect of Flymo but it's nice to be proved right.

the mower was a good price and had a good offer at the time of purchase. having moved into my first house and having never done any gardening before it was definitely a good place to start. I have a relatively small lawn and I had left the lawn to grow into a small jungle. the electric mowers seem to be easer to live with and only require to be plugged into a socket rather than petrol mowers that need maintenance and fuel. so this was a bonus for me as I only need something small and efficient. the load capacity of the mower is not great and if you don't have a small lawn I don't think this is the right mower for you as you will constantly be emptying the holder but as an entry level mower for a small garden it was ideal.

My dad runs a small gardening round and has always done our lawns and we purchased a cheap mower to use during the Covid 19 lockdown as dad is self isolating. My conclusion...he makes his job look easy. He told me which type of mower would work well and this is a cost effective solution to my current dad shaped hole. I think there are sturdier models which would be more suited to bigger lawns, but this is perfect for what we need. Neither my husband or myself are gardeners, so wanted something inexpensive and lightweight which is easy to use and this fits the bill well. It arrived in good time and we will continue to use for as long as we need to. Hoping my dad shaped hole will be filled quickly and not just because he make mowing lawns look easy!

j ai reçu la tondeuse ce matin rapport qualité prix excellente j avais déjà eu une flymo mais elle m a durée 10 ans j en ai rachetant une plus ressente impeccable on la sort de l emballage et elle prête a l emploi un enfant de 10 ans peu s en servir tellement elle est légère pas de fatigue j ai 69 ans et suis une femme elle ne prend pas de place vu quelle se replie sur elle même gain de place le bac est intégré je la recommande pour des petites surfaces moi j ai 200 m2 et elle est pratique pour tondre sur les terrains en pentes tel que des talus juste un petit inconvenant pas de notice en français moi je l ai traduit

Top tondeuse parfaite pour les terrain de 300 m' tond parfaitement avec bague de réglage pour la auteur de coupe tondeuse qui ce coupé le bac une fois plein ( ce qui ne pas précisé sur la notice ) pas bruyante , top quoi .

Cette tondeuse convient pour une très petite surface (j'ai un petit carré de 4m50 x 3 m) à condition que ce ne soit pas en pente, sans trou ni bosse. MAIS ATTENTION, DANGER AVEC L'ADAPTATEUR 220 VOLTS : 1° En débranchant la tondeuse, l'adaptateur s'est ouvert en deux (risque d'ÉLECTROCUTION). 2° Un fois débranché je me suis aperçu qu'il commençait à fondre (risque d'INCENDIE). Surtout, n'hésitez pas à couper le câble et mettre une prise CEE 16A (ne cherchez pas le fil de terre, il n''y a pas et c'est normal, le moteur est en classe IPX4) SOYEZ PRUDENTS.

J'ai acheté cette tondeuse en pensant que son faible poids me permettrait de la soulever pour atteindre des zones impossibles à tondre avec ma tondeuse habituelle. Hors ce systéme utilise une soufflerie qui permet de soulever le corps de la tondeuse et l'aspiration de l'herbe coupée est fait à l’arrière de la machine. Ainsi, les herbes un peu trop hautes sont couchées par la soufflerie et ne sont donc pas coupées. Par ailleurs, la manipulation de tonde n'est pas aisée car la machine n'est pas suffisamment soulevée pour ne pas frotter sur le sol.
