I’ve been using Vallejo acrylic paints for miniature painting for quite some time, and they consistently deliver excellent results. The paint has a smooth, creamy consistency straight from the bottle, making it easy to apply with both brushes and airbrushes. This is good stuff and I like that you can see where you’ve put it and can therefore make sure to remove it all. Be aware, though, that this is a tiny amount! Think nail varnish size, then maybe take some away! I hadn’t really appreciated that!

Goes on smoothly, easy to mix and good pigment levels. The finish is too pale in my opinion (loss of 1 star) and will almost certainly need mixing with another colour unless 'raw sausage' is what you're aimng for.

In my opinion this is the best matt varnish for miniatures. Two thin coats and it will protect the acrylic paint from handling whilst playing war games for ages.

First class product. Colour was spot on

I bought this acrylic paint thinner to loosen up the small pots of paint that came with a paint-by-numbers set and where some of the colours were not flowing well - some were quite stodgy! I had tried using water to thin the colours but this dilutes the colour on the canvas - I really needed something better. Most craft stores (the "Hobby" one for example) stock thinners but you have to buy large bottles and I only needed a small quantity. This small bottle of Vallejo thinner is perfect for me - I squirt a few drops into the tiny pots and give it a good stir and the problem is solved. It takes a fair few drops - and even a generous squirt in some cases - but the end result is great. Don't be deterred by the fact that the liquid is an opaque milky shade - it does not impact the colour of the paint you are thinning.
