I'm delighted to find this excellent toaster, (which looks great and functions very well), makes amazing toasties. I've used it with thick wholemeal/granary bread, with one slice each of cheese and ham, so far. No drips or spillage into the toaster, and SMEG manual says wash racks in warm soapy water. (Contrary to what Amazon seems to say/quote from manual)). They are super-easy to wash, so really no need for cleaning in a dishwasher anyway. I like the fact that the edges are NOT pinched together, which can give a very hard edge to a toasty. Am still playing with the settings, as I've only had it a few days, but setting 3-4 partly melts the cheese and makes a nicely toasted sandwich. May use the warming button, after they're toasted, to see if that melts the rest. They're scrummy as they are, anyway. Can't wait to try the bagel aetting on the toaster. Was worth the wait for Black Friday deal for the toaster. Seemed to have bought the two racks at a good price, just before B.Friday too. Would recommend. These make this pricey toaster even more versatile. Thank you Amazon.

Our sandwich toaster was wearing out and I finally decided to pay a tad more and invest in these frames for our Smeg toaster because I decided even if the toaster broke we will still have the frames. I am very glad I did buy these, downside is the price but they are a good quality. The upside is no more greasy toasted sandwiches, these produce much more like a proper Pub toastie. I was worried that Cheese or bacon might drip into the toaster but so far so good and I am glad I paid that bit extra for a much more enjoyable sandwich. Would recommend if you have the spare money.

Great little add on with the toaster. That said, as the SMEG 2 slice toaster was expensive, I do feel these racks should have been included. But they do great sandwiches. It can be a bit fiddly though trying to reinsert the racks back into the toaster after use.

Turns my toaster into a toastie maker. Ham and cheese toasties for my son, cheese and tomato for me. Tasty toasties have never been so easy! An must have accessory for a SMEG toaster (or any wide function generic toaster, if one is to be honest!).

These make the best toasties and accompany my SMEG toaster perfectly! They are easy to clean and good value for money! If you want the perfect toasties then these are perfect. Would highly recommend!! Make your preferred sand which. Pop in frames the. In toaster press the button and voila! The perfect toasties! Sit back with your favourite drink and enjoy !!!

These are brilliant! Toasties like real pub toasties not like these sandwich makers that squash all the edges! Well worth the money!

🥰UPDATE … I still think its over priced and should be included with the 4 slot toaster but oh well its SMEG so we have to pay more which is exactly what I did , I ordered it again hoping it will fit and yes it did this time and came 2 rack in the box YAAAY , im hoping it will last for years to come with proper care so i can justify the higher price for both the toaster and the sandwich maker 👱🏻‍♀️ I have Smeg 50's Style 4-Slot Toaster, White and ordered the toaster rack to make some delicious cheese sandwiches but unfortunately it doesn’t probably fit and will not goes down to start toasting also the quality is not as great as it should when paying a high price and should be expected from a big brand with high price tag, I got one rack in the box when it should be two if I’m mistaken It going back and will not recommend
