Resident Evil 4 - PS4

As someone who spent countless hours after school playing the original Resident Evil 4 on PS2, I absolutely loved this remake. It keeps everything that made the original great while improving the graphics and making the gameplay feel smooth and modern on PS4. The frame rate is stable on PS4 PRO and the atmosphere looks amazing. The Merchant has a new voice actor, which longtime fans will notice right away. I still miss the classic “WHAAAAAT ARE YAAA BUYINNNN?” from the original. It was also great seeing modes like Mercenaries return. Overall, this remake does an excellent job respecting the original while making it feel fresh again.

One of the best games ever made! By far, the best remake ever, but I still prefer the original in many ways (action-button sequences and infinite knife, to name just a couple). I believe all the glitches have been corrected now (when this remake first came out, it was frustrating in a few parts, but updates have corrected these errors), the storyline is more complex, and some plot holes in the original have been filled. I highly recommend for new players of the game (RE4 is the best video game EVER!), those who have played similar games (this one will be BETTER), and for those of us who have played the original 15 times. No one of you will be disappointed.

This game is incredible! I have been playing Resident Evil since 98 and at first I was against this remake! I enjoyed the remakes of part two and three. Even though those games were good. They left a lot to be desired with part missing the split story of the original (which had Leon deal with Mr X and Claire with William Birkins). Now the remake of part three was also fun but sadly a rushed out and was missing a lot of content. This remake of the classic Resident Evil 4 was just perfect in every way possible. They added unique new enemies like in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remake. They actually made a remake that I can't complain about. This game is fun and the dlc which is sold separately at 9.99 dollars. They are both totally worth the time and money! I highly recommend this game at any price because it worth! I had to admit that at first, I was reluctant to play it. The original is one of the greatest games of all time. It is near perfection. But now I can say both versions gave benefits and drawbacks. Obviously with the newer game, you get better controls but it comes at the expense of a few missing elements from the original. Having played the original, I wish there had been a way to keep a few cut scenes in the remake. And there is that one "controversial" scene from the original ... Sure, I get that some folks are easily offended so the script was altered, and it would've worked if it was written properly, but it was changed in a way that just made Ashley sound dumb and offended for no reason. Leon makes less wisecracks and is less flirty. I don't see why that needed changing. I didn't like how they altered the little Napoleon dude, now he looks more like a mini Sebastian Bach. And no statue chase? That was a disappointment. On the upside, less QTEs. The one very annoying section from the original game where you are suspended in a cage over a ravine where you have to set these sections to fall with this mantis-like boss slashing at you is gone, and good riddance. But they made those spiky humanoid enemies that have the parasites inside them a lot harder to take down. I would say the remake is 90% true to the original. It is nice, though, you can get both versions on your PS4 and decide which you prefer.

What an adventure. I played this game way back in 2012 and playing it again felt like a whole new game. Def modernized and you can see where they pulled a lot of inspo from in terms of gameplay mechanics. If you put this in your PS5, you can upgrade for free. The ada wong DLC is also only $10 and adds about 10 hours of extra gameplay.

This game is so good! Anyone who wants to play it really should get it. It came in great condition, and it did come pretty quickly. Honestly, playing this game is so addicting, and I recommend it for anyone who wants to get into the Resident Evil series or if you enjoy action/zombie games.

the game is so fun you fight the zombies and boss fights but the game is expensive
