I opened a new product and gave it a whirl and it, just, worked. Ergonomics and tension on the knob are really good. It's easy to turn and then the shaft gets a really good grip on its balls. I mean it really squeezes those balls good and tight. Those balls aren't going anywhere when its hold on them is tightened up. But it also releases its grip on the two balls easily, too. I also like that there's a groove for cable management, that's a nice touch. And it doesn't fall apart the second you get it loose enough to fit the balls inside. A lot of products do that, and you have to contort your hands around while you twist and hope it doesn't suddenly explode. This one stays connected, which is nice. It's just a really solid product that actually works! Amazing. The only thing I don't really like is the name of the company. I was confused at first, I thought it was something for Dodge Ram pickups or whatever line of cars is the Ram. But ok, different company. It just doesn't quite make sense to me. Sure, mountain goats like the Ibex are incredibly good at scaling sheer cliffs, but their toes don't really clamp and hold something for a long time.
