Perfect for heavy wooden garden gate, easy to install and works great.
Easy to fit, athough I used longer screws than those supplied. Been working now for 2 months and effortlessly closes our heavy gate without slamming, even in windy conditions. There are two different adjustments with a single screw; make sure to use the correct gate position when adjusting or you will get nowhere.

Two have broken in 18 months. Amazon will not return for warranty.
One of these was fitted to my small gate (supplied by gate installer). After one year the closer lost all its 'spring' and the adjuster did not do anything. I purchased a new one in April this year and fitted it, a couple of weeks ago its broken too. Amazon do not do returns for this product. Dont bother buying it, look for something else.

Working well so far
Fitted this to a pair of driveway gates to the opening one the gate had galvanised crank hinges so as instructed I made a packer to get the closer in line with the center pin of the hinge,the gate closes at a nice speed and latches perfectly it’s not hard to push the gate open which was my concern when I first purchased. Good item if fitted correctly

Failed after 3 years , impossible to repair
I liked that it performed well for 2 years but obviously disliked that it started to fail after 2 then failed completely after 3
