the seeds produced plants, but not in as much abundance as I hoped hoped for - my plants seem quite small compared to my Mother's - perhaps they don't like being in pots

Old seed? Only 3 seeds germinated from 45 sown!
Ordered from Premier Seeds Direct through Amazon on 03/07/2025 First sowing on 11th July 2025 - 3 germinated out of 30 sown. Second sowing on 4th August and none have germinated. First photo taken seven days after sowing (11/08/25) shows germination of other seeds sown at the same time. Other photos taken today (13/08/25). Background trays are of seeds I found with a "sow by" date in 2023 - even these have had more success than these Kale seeds from Premier Direct. I went with this company as they had been recommended by Charles Dowding (his module trays shown here too!) but I'm really disappointed with this result - getting too late to sow this variety now.
