Super wifi product
***First off, ignore all the 1 star reviews as these people have little or no computer skills and are blaming the product when it's their ignorance and lack of knowledge when it comes to their computer systems. Mostly all the problems detailed are the result of firewall problems and not with this product. I have Windows 7 64bit and this product works.*** Can not fault this product. Rated at 150Mbps and it works at that rate too. All I had to do was change the channel on my router to one that wasn't being used by other routers in my area. Use a free program called `inSSIDer`. The high gain adapter makes a big difference but can be modified to get a better signal using a can, crisp tube or tennis ball can. Just go on your favourite video hosting site or search engine and look up `cantenna`. I'm on a fibre connection and can get a wired Ethernet speed of 62mbps down and 18mbps up. With this product I can get 55mbps down and 16mbps up going through a floor and two walls. Although like a said I have modified both my router and this product by using a parabolic reflector system so it is not omni-directional but focuses the signal. I can get an `RSSI` signal strength of (-54) with this product. Windows sometimes states a 100% signal strength but `inSSIDer` gives a truer number. It installs very easily. Just plug it in and windows will install the drivers. Although I like to go and find the latest ones anyway from the manufacturers website. It comes with a USB2.0 extension lead so you can plug it into your desktop or laptop and position it somewhere or just have it sticking out the back or side. Very decent price on here. I paid £8.99 and feel it was the best USB wifi adaptor for the price and quality. Highly recommend this product for anyone who wants a 2.4ghz wifi adaptor.

Well-made, Windows/Linux-friendly, good performer, and cheap-as-chips!
I bought this to replace an ageing Belkin 54g USB adapter that was starting to fail through general wear-and-tear and hard use. First impressions are good. It appears to be sturdy and solid. It worked instantly out of the box, when plugged into a Linux computer (KUbuntu 12.04LTS), with no configuration, driver installing, or firmware-downloading. I rebooted into Windows XP and inserted the driver CD. I liked that I was able to select between "driver only" and "driver plus utility software" in the installation program. Whilst some people might appreciate the card's own management software, I don't want unnecessary rubbish cluttering my PC, so I opted for the "driver only" installation, and used the standard Windows network connection dialogues to set up my network. It connected instantly and I've had no "go-slow" periods, connection-dropouts etc. since. Range is very good; I can pick up the wireless networks of people who live across the road and down the street from me. Speed is also quite good. My old adapter was capable of 54Mbps, but would connect to our router at around 24-48. This TP-Link adapter connects to the same network at 65Mbps under Windows, and 72Mbps under Linux. It's too early to discuss durability, but initial indications are good. It looks very well put together and currently functions very well, so fingers-crossed (and an update will follow here if it turns out to be rubbish).

I Like It... It does it's job
I really like this product, as I do most TP-Link products. It really did make a difference from my old outdated Belkin "g" dongle. The old dongle was unreliable and constantly stopped working and the signal was only 2 bars. NOTE: This is for use in my garden office to connect to the router in my main home. I was skeptical as to how much of a difference it would it make though it really did improve the signal (to 4 bars) and the speed (NOTE: You need a "N" router to reach full speeds". The item has been working for over 2/3 weeks and the stand is a really nice touch to it. I am pleased with the product and if I need a new dongle in the near future, I will not hesitate in purchasing another of the same. Aesthetics: Good looking (especially with stand) Speed: Good improvement in speed from garden office (particularly in consistent speeds) Signal: Improvement from 2 to 4 bars! Generally: Item is recommended, good price and performance.

Buen precio, y excelente calidad.
