For the intended purpose it works well, however, it was bought as a donor for an unsupported lens., which required a complete disassembly and an increase in internal diameter of 0.75mm. Once back together it's a good cheap solution.

Good quality, well priced, lens hood
Appears to be well made and does the job it is designed to do. Substantially cheaper the an original Canon replacement.

Buy it, if you need a lens hood.
Fits perfectly. good quality, functions as you would expect, all round great alternative to the expensive Canon branded hood. Provides some slight bump protection for the front of your lens too which is helpful. Can be installed backwards onto the lens for storage.

Perfect fit for the rf100-400. Locks in place nicely. Looks well made. Plastic seems good quality and is thick enough.

I'm a bit of sucker a sucker for getting the Canon logo on things, but even I scoffed at the price of the official Canon hood for the 70-300mm IS II USM. The JJC hood fits better and goes on/off more smoothly than most of the official Canon hoods, and is much cheaper than the ET-74B (about $45+ from what I've seen). I like the locking mechanism/release button (I guess the official hood for this lens also has it), and that works a smoothly as everything else. This hood does not have felt-lining, but neither does the original. So I'm quite confident that what I got is everything as good as the official version, at ~1/3 the price.

Funciona perfectamente. Acopla bien y elimina la luz no deseada evitando que entre en el objetivo. Gracias a su superficie mate elimina casi todos los reflejos de la lente. Además protege tu lente de un golpe accidental. Recomendado por su excelente calidad-precio.
