These items are not placstic they are made of metal and are very strong compared to the ones that came in the unit! very easy to install, I give them a 10 out of 10 very well made and easy to install!

This was pretty much a direct replacement for the original release assembly which was plastic. The installation took about 20 minutes due to the need to remove staples from the material covering the sofa. Very happy!

Just changed my cables out, didnt use the included handles but the cables fit and worked perfectly.

My son was able to easily install these replacement recliner handles. After seeing that the original ones were made out of plastic on the inside, I could see where these replacement metal ones would work a lot better and last much longer. I bought another set to replace the other sides of my couches too.
