Solved the dell design problem with the docking connected at the back of the newer laptops
Did what it was supposed to - filled the gap on the dell docking station as the dock connector on the e7450 was at the back of the laptop. pretty bad design by dell initially really !

Not essential and fairly expensive for a small piece of plastic but as our team have newer laptops it's a faff every day trying to find the docking station connector on the bottom of the laptop without one of these. So, if you spread the cost over 300+ times a year you try to connect the laptop, it's well worth it.

Does the job, but WTF Dell?
I have a Dell Latitude E7450 plus docking station, and this spacer works fine with that combo. However it's absolutely ludicrous that a) Dell designed the docking station this way and b) I have to separately order and pay extra for this overpriced bit of plastic.

hat man einen kleineren Dell ist das Teil ganz praktisch, wenn man sein NB häufig aus der Docking Station heraus nimmt. Alles andere ist gefummel.

L'accessorio per docking station appare semplice e di plastica mediamente rigida si aggancia alla docking riducendo lo spazio "inutilizzato". Lo considero più un qualcosa di estetico che realmente indispensabile. Utilizzato su docking DELL e-port replicator PR03X e PC portatile DELL latitude E5570.

Perfekte Kompatibilität mit der in der Überschrift angegebenen Docking-Station-Laptop-Kombination. Ich habe den Spacer für ca. 11€ inklusive Versand aus der Schweiz gekauft - geht für mich vollkommen in Ordnung. Betrachtet man die gute Usability und die Engineering-Aufwendungen, finde ich den Preis doch wirklich sehr ok. Klar kann man das selbst sicherlich für ein paar Cent selbst herstellen - doch den Zeitaufwand sollte man dann nicht aus kostentechnischer Sicht betrachten ;)
