A great enhancement to my pi-star hotspot
This Nextion screen is a great addition to my hotspot running pi-star. It comes with wired connectors and pin connectors I used (after separating 2*2 pins for the 4 pins needed for the Nextion connection to the mmdvm board) and soldered to the mmdvm hat. The "K" version supports touch controls. The clarity of the display is outstanding and this one replaces a 2.8" display and the differences make the screen much easier to read. I used the HMI editor to get the Nextion FW (the tft load) updated to the most recent version and after writing it to a 16GB SD card and inserting it into the SD card slot on the Nextion display, the display updated itself to the pi-star supported display. The picture shows one of the display FW I tried and shows the clarity of the display.

Great addition to hotspot.
Nextion screen has been a nice addition to my WPSD hotspots. I have the full picture of what is happening on my dmr connection.

Great display for the money
These are not the easiest to use, and they are slow to program, but they are good displays for interfacing with microprocessors, and the Nextion software is pretty versatile. The only complaint I have is that there's no real manual for the software. There is an instruction set. That's about it. The screens all come with a sample program loaded. It would be very valuable if you could download that program to use as a reference. As it is now, you cannot. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

Best addition to the Arduino
This little monitor really opens up the world to the Arduino. Definitely the best accessory for an Uno or Nano. Excellent tutorials for the screen designing software on YouTube.

Super old firmware that won’t update
Tried two different ones and the firmware is so old that it doesn’t want to update rendering the screen useless.
