Niederegger | Marzipan Black Forest Torte 185g

For a lover of Marzipan these are as good as they come. Unlike cheaper varieties Almonds are the main ingredient and not sugar and that reflects in the much cleaner taste. The boozy ones are even better because it adds moisture and the alcohol balances the sweetness of the sugar. It is a bit like having a sweet amaretto cocktail. For Christmas they are ideal, the presentation is well done, but really should be presented on a crystal or polished metal platter, as the colours of the wrappers are beautiful and inviting. They also taste of Christmas, the American version at least, the prefect white Christmas. Just make make sure you get to taste each one.

Oh My Goodness it was delicious ! If you're a marzipan lover, as I am, you're gonna love this. Smooth dark chocolate, a thick layer of tasty jammy stuff, and high quality marzipan. Admittedly it was quite small, about 5" in diameter, but quite thick, and to me, worth it. You pay for quality, and bought for me instead of an Easter egg. Will definitely buy again. I've also tried the Niederegger marzipan loaf assortments, and they were amazing too. But this is my out and out favourite, and can't wait to buy more. In fact I've just eaten the last bit, and my finger is already hovering over the 'buy with one click' button. You like marzipan ? You'll love this .......

As each of the sumptuous Niederegger products that I have had the pleasure of sampling, this particular truly showcases the finest elements of German indulgence, efficiency and culinary mastery. As many other reviews have accurately detailed, if you are searching for a sweet treat that tantalizes the tastebuds, I would highly recommend purchasing this world renowned product.

Delicious but too expensive. Excellent marzipan, very moist. Only a rare luxury unfortunately.

Great but the chocolate had bloomed, due to being stored at the wrong temperature

This product had not been stored correctly. Totally dried out inedible. ,even though the best before is not till Jan 2026 . Total waste of money. Gone straight in the bin.

Hard to review as the chocolates themselves tasted amazing. However, one had a huge pip in which I nearly choked on 😖 Very few in the box, 6 in total, but slightly larger than an average chocolate. I’m not sure they’re value for money really.
