Solid, well-built KVM that does exactly what it offers.
Really impressed with this product. Bought both a 4 Port and a 2 Port version. It is very easy to set up (just plug in your peripherals and attach to each PC you want to control. Works fine with wireless keyboard and mouse, all functionality works fine via KVM (I use Logitech MX Revolution mouse).Switching is quite fast between PCs with very little lag (< 1 second).Unit feels solid and of good build quality and sits discreetly on my desk (with the help of some blu-tac) for easy switching. If you need to use more than one PC then this is an ideal solution that spares you the cost of extra monitors, keyboards and mice and gives you back some desk space.

Pretty good KVM switch
Does what says on the tin, i use it to switch between 3 machines works nicely. So why not 5 stars you may ask, well it changes the monitor maker and id under mac OS and Linux (my main systems), detection on windows is fine. Easy to fix in both systems as long as people don't fear tweaking on those platforms, linux users are used to this. The other minor issue is that sometimes i have to remove the keyboard USB connector and reinsert it while switching between machine, happens only sporadically so not a big issue but could be the keyboard combination too. I haven't tested any resolution above 1920x1080 so cant attest it i would work or not (i read some of the reviews and some had issues with higher resolutions)Overall great value for money with cables included, i would recommend it to a friend.

Very useful and works well
After one day of use, so far so good. The main benefit is clear: I've got a desktop and a laptop plugged into it, a monitor, and my primary mouse and keyboard, which means I've been able to get rid of the secondary mouse + keyboard that I was previously using with the laptop. Fewer peripherals means I've got more desk space, which I'm very happy about. It's easy to use and set up - along with the switch box you get four sets of cables to connect it to your computers, and they're completely standard cables of the type you'll already be using (USB, VGA).I had to amend my screen settings in Graphics Properties on the desktop because immediately after hooking up the kit the resolution changed and left the file icons far too large for my liking, but this was easily resolved. There's no lag between typing on the keyboard or clicking with the mouse, and the action appearing on screen, so that's fine too.All in all, very happy so far.

An excellent switch box to connect upto 4 PC's to a single VGA/Serial device and upto 3 USB devices
Superb device, works flawlessly, is neat and looks good.I needed to connect three old PC's to a single monitor and USB keyboard and 'hot' switch between each PC. I needed a switch box that could handle both a USB connection for the wireless keyboard and a VGA connection to the monitor. This switch allows both USB and VGA connections to up to four computers; a single VGA out connection to a monitor or other device and the switch has three USB ports to connect to devices, I use one for the keyboard and one for a HDD docking station that I want to share with the three computers. I so far have only used the wireless keyboard by plugging the tiny keyboard USB dongle into this switch and it works flawlessly when switching between PC's. To switch there is a single button on top that toggles between each PC port in turn, the selected PC indicated by a red LED.It is about as small as it can be given all the connections it allows, it is neat and well laid out. It works flawlessly, instantly switching between computers with no problems seen with the keyboard or monitor. I can see no fault with this at all.

Has drawbacks but good for infrequent use, and cheap!
This should really be 3.5 stars, and only because it's cheap! This product does actually work, and if your requirements are limited it works perfectly well. But it has some drawbacks that may mean you want to spend a bit extra. It depends if any important to you.1) The cables plug in all around the edge. This makes it possible to mount - you effectively have to leave it dangling' held in place by the cables.2) The only way to switch is using a button, which isn't going to be easy reach (see 1 above).3) It does not maintain a fake USB connection when switched out; they keyboard/mouse re-register as devices when they are switched it. This could be a problem with an OS that doesn't support dynamic HID installation, or does so slowly.4) The VGA power saving isn't maintained. Even if the selected computer tries to turn the monitor into standby, it won't happen.5) The leads are a tad short - you'll probably need to buy a one or two long long USB and VGA cables if you're using all the ports (but you can't complain at the price). It's also worth noting that this doesn't switch DVI-D or HDMI video. It doesn't claim to. (It would probably switch analogue on a DVI plug with a a passive adapter). Looking to the future, this may become important - although this is so cheap it's hardly a major investment. In spite of all the drawbacks above, if you have a few servers and you occasionally need to see what they're up to, this allows you to switch them perfectly well and it's a lot easier than fumbling around the back to find sockets.
