Not braided cables.
Misleading product description. The cables are standard cables rather than braided cables.

Does the job at a good price
This light fitting isn't suitable for lampshades but I have made it work with some adjustments and it looks fine and does the job. I also tried it with a decorative bulb - which is its intended purpose and it looks really good. It is clear from the reviews that I am not the only person to make the mistake when making the purchase so I would recommend that the seller updates the product description to ensure that the warningis more prominent. It is currently at the bottom of a long description.

Doesn’t work with a lampshade
The fitting doesn’t have any way to fit a lampshade and so I had to return it.

Basic quality
Disappointed. Should have paid a little extra for a better quality light fitting. Cable was very fine and not braided. Lamp holder was made of flimsy plastic. Would not recommend
