Nice product but it's not for me

I've been using Kikumasamune High Moist lotion for 8 years now, and couldn't do without it. I use it twice a day on my face, and throughout the day on my hands (e.g after washing), and any dry areas on my body. It adds a layer of moisture to the skin without leaving it sticky or greasy. The lotion itself is very thin, almost the consistency of water. But once you get used to this, it makes a great base for other products – I use serum, then a heavier moisturising cream on top (on its own, it's not really enough for facial skincare, or for particularly dry areas on the body). Some people mention it has a smell, but I can't say I've ever noticed it. It's also said to have anti-ageing properties, with the secret 'sake by-product' ingredient having been discovered when the hands of workers at a sake brewery looked much younger than the rest of their bodies (they had often had their hands inside vats of sake). Well, I've been told I look much younger than my years, so maybe there's some truth in that too! The only downside really is the size. If you're trying it for the first time, it's pretty big at 500ml, so if you don't react well, there's a lot left over. For me, the size is a plus though, since a bottle lasts such a long time.

Unbelievably good! So moisturising and nourishing. I have extremely dry skin, 2 layers of this and I can usually skip the moisturiser. Very good value too! Highly recommended

When I read the reviews for this lotion, I saw that one woman complained of a rash. But there were so many positive reviews that I thought it was her individual reaction. Well, her reaction is not individual. I also got a small rash on my face after a few days of use. I stopped using the lotion. But, when the rash went away, I decided to give the lotion a second chance. However, everything happened again like the first time. Be aware that the lotion may cause such a reaction. And this is not an isolated case.
