Escape to Wonderland is an enticing, extraordinarily intricate and beautiful colouring book filled with highly detailed line artwork that allows the magical fantasy of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland to be brought to be life in an entirely unique way. Pictures include iconic scenes from Wonderland and its array of extraordinary characters - the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat and the Queen of Hearts and more - threaded with delicate patterns all clearly outlined in pen and ink, making ideal spreads to colour. Pivotal moments from the story of Alice are scattered throughout for inspiration, and there are spaces left within some of the compositions for individual design and embellishment. This highly original, exquisite colouring book is in a handy-sized square format, a perfect size to carry around in your bag. With a tin of crayons, you'll be ready to colour and relax wherever and whenever the moment takes you. Suitable for children. Review: Alice - I brought this book at full price for my personal collection. I colour purely as a hobby, one that I put an incredible amount of time and effort in to. This is another beautiful book by Goodwives and Warriors and is the 1st in their "Escape To" series. At the time of posting there are currently 4 titles available. Escape to Wonderland, Escape to Christmas Past, Escape to Shakespeare's World and Escape to Oz. It is substantially smaller then your average colouring book at approximately 18.5cm x 18.5cm. Inside this book there are 65 illustrations. Approximately 37 single page illustrations and 28 double page spreads. Almost every illustration is drawn all the way in to the spine, I found the spine to be very tight and even after working it, it doesn't sit flat enough to be able to colour extremely close to it precisely. All the illustrations are printed double sided, using alcohol markers stains the next page. Water based markers left shadowing. However I had no problems with gel pens. The paper itself is non perforated, of medium quality with a slightly textured surface. I used a mix of Marco Raffines and Polychromos for most of the illustrations I've completed and found that multiple layers of pencil was difficult, as the tooth runs out quicker then I would of expected. The illustrations contained within the book are based on the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. A few of the original characters aren't included in the illustrations this includes the Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum A large portion of the illustrations are animal oriented. There are also notable objects (such as the "drink me" shrinking potion), flora and food illustrations. You will also be able to recognise scenes from the original book. These include meeting the caterpillar, the croquet match and the caucus race. Interspersed throughout the illustrations are pre printed black elements. The thicker of these are used in a few scenes to illustrate a dark night sky. There are also quotes from the original book every few pages allowing you to follow Alice's story and understand how the illustration relates to Lewis Carroll's work. I honestly have nothing bad to say about any of Good Wives and Warriors Escape To series. You get an incredible amount of value for what you pay and the illustrations are so varied you can find almost any type of illustration within the pages. I've personally brought all 4 books from this series and love following a pictured version of a classic story. Review: Fabulous Little Colouring Book - I can't really fault this book. The images are a wonderful telling of a story most of us know and love. I particularly love the size format. It's about 7 inches square and to me feels so much less intimidating than the absolutely beautiful, but larger books of Millie Marotta and Joanna Basford. I swear the sheer size of a page in their gorgeous books that I of course own gives me an anxiety attack! I have this terrible urge to finish what I start in one sitting, which defeats the object of colouring to keep calm when I colour for hours and don't even make a dent in an image. But with this little gem I can at least see the fruits of my work. And I also like the fact that I don't have to try and finish an image off by drawing my own elements on it, which I don't really like much as I hate being told what to do. Escape To Wonderland has none of these drawbacks (pun unintended!). On to the quality of the book. The images are simply gorgeous with a range of complexity right through the book. The paper is lovely and smooth with an off white shade. It's thick enough not to show the printing through. It has a common downside with most other colouring books of the images being on both sides, so I've not risked using pen. But it takes any type of coloured pencil excellently. I've tried everything from cheap and cheerful Crayola to my few precious Faber Castell Polychromos and all lay down beautifully. In fact, I tend to stick to my cheaper pencils as it's a shame using my expensive art grade pencils colouring in as the end result is not that much different.

A Whimsical Escape for Stress Relief
Escape to Wonderland is a delightful colouring book that offers a charming escape from everyday stress. The illustrations are imaginative and beautifully detailed, providing hours of relaxing activity. The paper quality is solid, with minimal bleed-through, so you can use pencils, markers, or fine liners without worry. Perfect for anyone who enjoys immersing themselves in a whimsical, creative world. My wife has really enjoyed spending time with this one!

No hatter!
Gorgeous book. Only dropping a star as I felt totally spoilt by the macmillan original artwork Alice book and this escape to wonderland book doesn't feature the mad hatter; my favourite character besides Alice. It's a real shame in this book there is only a hat to colour to represent the mad hatter but other than that this is a lovely book and I'm looking forward to working on it.

Good quality, and unusual colouring book.
I pre-ordered Escape to Wonderland not really knowing what the book would be like apart from it being Alice in Wonderland. Received it today and am so pleased I had ordered it. It is a delightful book printed on extremely good quality paper. There is a double cover with lovely highlights of gold on the cover. The illustrations are so unusual and depict Alice in Wonderland with all the characters. It is querky and illustrates Alice's adventures just perfectly. I do like the size of the book neither is it too big nor too small. Just right to transport around. I am so glad I have added it to my ever growing collection of adult colouring books as it is totally different to any of the others. I can very highly recommend this lovely book. UPDATE! I have preordered ESCAPE TO CHRISTMAS PAST the next book due out on the 5th November 2015, and also the next one is due on the 7th January 2016 and is ESCAPE TO OZ (the wizard of Oz) hope this is of help if you like Escape to Wonderland.

Brings Back The Magic
I was aware that this was smaller than most colouring books (just over 7 inches square) and that was one of the reasons I bought it: perfect for my caravan. The cover gives a good idea of what to expect - both in content and style. Some drawings are single sided and some are on both sides of the paper, and do disappear into the spine of the book, but with plenty of working it is possible to get the book to lie almost flat and so only a little of the picture is lost. I would say paper quality is medium, suitable for gel pens and pencils. Layering is possible, but the paper doesn't take too many layers. The illustrations are lovely and follow the story of Alice, there are even quotes from the book. Not all the main characters are shown, but the book tells the story well and brought out the magic of the tale. There are plenty of flowers and animals and lots of nostalgia. Alice in Wonderland has always been one of my favourites and this lovely book helps to bring back the enchantment of the story. Well worth the money and highly recommended.

good enough
to be honest the only thing i didn't like is the quality of the paper. the size is good and the illustrations really beautiful but the paper is a dirty white (not really beige) and the texture is all wrong, toothy and doesn't lend itself well to even a single layer of markers....

Excellent colouring book.
I originally bought this about 2015. I'm a huge fan of Lewis Carrolls book. My friend had an accident recently and is basically on house arrest so I sent her this and she, just like I, loved it! The pictures are amazing I've framed some in my bedroom as they ate great. Highly recommend this book. Any alice in wonderland fan will love it!

Gรฉnial !

I LOVE IT!!
I love this book. The smaller-than-usual size is cute without making it harder to color. The illustrations are gorgeous and go well with the story (there are passages from the original book on almost every page). The QUALITY is fantastic: Heavy card stock book jacket, paperback. Paper quality is great, felt tip markers, gel pens, and wax-lead colored pencils are what I use. Nothing bled through, and I tend to bear down pretty hard. My one complaint: Shipping. After placing the order amazon showed it would take a month to deliver but the seller said 7-8 business days... It arrived on the 11th or 12th business day.

Compact and creative!
I love love LOVE this coloring book. There's a wide variety of pictures ranging from cutesy to downright odd, which certainly keeps coloring in this book interesting. It's a great take on Alice in Wonderland and definitely my favorite Alice book in print so far. The size of this book is also great. It's very compact so it should be easier / quicker to finish coloring a page ( though it still takes me a week or two )! I've shared a comparison picture of the size between this coloring book and the usual coloring book size. I've compared it to a book by Johanna Basford, Lost Ocean. The illustrator of this book has done an amazing job with her pictures and I'd definitely keep an eye on any of her upcoming books. I would recommend this book to any coloring enthusiast, or those that loved Alice in Wonderland!
