Q: Is there any advantage of this kit over the DEWALT DWA2T40IR IMPACT READY FlexTorq Screw Driving Set, 40-Piece?

It comes with 4 deep well sockets in 3/8 drive besides the three nut setters. If you work with nuts and bolts often as well as screws then this would be a better set

Q: Do the (4) Impact Ready Socket Adapters (3/8", 7/16", 1/2" 9/16") have a quick release shank permanently fixed to go right into my impact gun?

It comes with one quick release adapter that goes 1/4" hex into your gun and has a normal 3/8" square socket drive on the other end. The (4) deep well sockets you mention snap on the end of that. In fact any 3/8" drive socket will fit it but be aware not all sockets are "impact ready". In addition to those larger sockets remember there are the 3 smaller magnetic drivers. Those are permanently attached to 1/4" hex quick release ends to go into your impact gun.
