No sir, my grandfather was not a communist
Iconic badge. Well made cap badge secured by a pair of flat, soft metal prongs. They may fatigue and break off in my opinion so be gentle. They must have made millions. No need to bribe anyone to get it. I have it because I love the historic design more than what it represents. Be aware though many folk truly believe this transforms you into someone quite objectionable so be aware thats all. Don't forget to take it off in Conservative pubs and going through US airports. :-)

Worth the price being charged on Amazon
This is not excessively well made - round the back are two brass-like pins that you poke through your cap to hold it in place and they're the cheapest pieces of metal imaginable that would perform that job. On the front though it's a really nice motif in attractive colours. It looks good on a green army cap.

Business at the front, party at the back.
The badge itself looks great. Perhaps a little bigger than I expected, but still looks the part. The connection, however, is little more than two flimsy-looking prongs of metal soldered to the back. I intended to use this on my jacket, but unless you've got a spare button hole, it ain't happening (the title does say hat/cap badge, so I take this on myself). In short, great looking badge, even if it does seem a little flimsy.

my other half loves this on his cossack hat. ...
my other half loves this on his cossack hat. many people get the hump with it, tutting and shaking their heads, but they forget that the hammer and sickle represents something entirely different to what they think it does, i.e. communism.

Quite bad.
Tiny and the hammer and sickle are not as clearly defined as the picture suggests. Still, cheap, so what do you expect. The 'clasp' on the back is useless.
