5.6 MM Lead Holder, Clutch Pencils for Draft Drawing, Shading, Crafting, Art Sketching, Wood Working, Pack of 2 Pieces

I can't believe my good fortune to stumble across these amazing pencils. The 5.6 leads in metal housing usu come at such a premium cost. Retailers market them as luxury items. These sturdy pens are well-designed and simple to use. The screw top works as described. I purchased the pencil to use for carpenter markings on trim boards and sheetrock. But the pencils have such a nice bold and clean point, I find myself using them every day now, for writing list, writing in my planner, or my wall calendar, as well as for carpentry. Do not sleep on this item. If you need 5.6mm leads, this is it. Touche! = )

I purchased these for my daughter and I to draw with. I've wanted to try one of these since learning, a few years ago, that comics artist Jim Lee uses a similar item from a more expensive brand, to do his initial page layout and composition. They are performing VERY well, so far. They don't feel as bulky to my hands as I thought they would, therefore, no learning curve. I must admit, though, the light weight and overall feel in the hand leads me to believe that I should try very hard to never drop them from any significant height. Of course, there's some sense of comfort in knowing that, if I did drop and break one of these, I could buy at least six more of them for about the price of one Kohinoor. I think these are as good as can possibly be expected at the price. Maybe BETTER! Possibly a STEAL! Money well spent, in my opinion.

Very nice clutch pencil lead holder (for the price)! The quality and contruction is excellent, the weight and feel in your hand is very comfortable, the 5.6mm lead it comes with is sturdy and an adequate size and softness for sketching. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but it comes with a pocket clip that appears durable, and the cap unscrews for a quick lead sharpener - which is "okay". IF pressed for negatives, I might say a rubberized or knurled area for a grip might be nice, and even when loosely retracted a sharpened lead slides out to protrusion a bit. BUT... you get TWO, and for the price, this is sweet.

I work construction and I use these everyday. The clicking mechanism is different but once you get used to nit clicking the graphite back into it when you are done or clicking it when taking it out it's awesome. Just leave the graphite out and it's always ready and doesn't make a mess. Durable, and comes with plenty of storage.

Exceptional

Usually the term, "you get what you pay for", is applicable across the board. So, having such an inexpensive price made me a bit reluctant to buy these. Despite my concerns, they were every bit what I hoped for, and I would recommend them to anyone.

The advertising claims that the leads can be sharpened by removing the cap and using the sharpener in the cap. THAT'S AN OUTRIGHT LIE, AS THERE IS NO SHARPENER IN THE CAP. BOTH OF MY PENCILS ARE DEFECTIVE - THERE ARE NO LEAD SHARPENERS. That's why I gave 3 stars rather than 5... because both of my pencils are defective because they DO NOT HAVE LEAD SHARPENERS AS STATED IN THE DESCRIPTION THAT I BASED MY PURCHASE OFF OF. DON'T BE FOOLED.
