Bosch Professional Metal Cut-Off Saw GCD 12 JL (240 V, incl. 1 x Circular Saw Blade)

I love using this saw. The soft start is great, and the tool cuts very accurately. I've used it for several months now, without any problems on box section, angle and flat mild steel. It always surprises me how quickly it cuts - and there's no need to bear down hard on the handle. After using an abrasive disc cutter for many years, the lack of dust and grit makes this tool a pleasure to use!

Bought it on Amazon UK due to the lower price, even accounting for delivery. Works as advertised. Great and fast cuts, even though I sometimes put multiple profiles for simultaneous cuts. Cut quality is excellent, more than sufficient for subsequent welding. That being said, I would have one neutral and one bad comment: - Neutral: the structure seems made of a light alloy, probably aluminium, and is painted. The manipulation of steel profile on the base tend to damage is. Although it's only cosmetic, I find it a little distressing to see so many marks of use so fast. - Bad: the laser on my machine is not placed properly. It shines a cutting line on the left side of the cut, whereas it should place it on the right side (as confirmed by the manual). The adjusting screw does not help on this matter and, despite my removing the protective cover and tempering with the laser fixation, I did not manage to solve the problem. For the moment, I make do and resort to ol ways: lowering the blade until it makes contact with the piece and align the blade with the pencil marks...

This saw is very good quality, its sturdy enough whilst placed on my bench, I re-enforce the bench to make sure it would hold the weight, it's too expensive to see it crashing to the floor. I tried it out cutting an old metal pipe I had and it cut through it in 3 seconds, I was amazed, the cut was perfect (it did need a quick file but its metal cant expect anything else) A really good buy However you lost a star because I found out that its around £80 to replace the blade, needless to say that's quite an expensive blade.
