Sky Viper v2450GPS Streaming Drone with Autopilot & GPS

Easy to set up, easy to link the phone FPV as well as the GPS tracking, easy to fly. Return to home brought it back within 3 feet of take off with a light breeze pushing on it. Very stable camera with no buzz at all. Moderate lag between camera and phone but pretty fly-able in FPV. This is a larger drone with a white color so it's very easy to see even far away. If you fly small quads or black ones, you will appreciate the visibility of this drone. Battery life was solidly mediocre. Not amazing, not terrible. We weren't pushing it (mostly low speed and hovering) and we got around 10 minutes on a less than full battery. Didn't get to range test but the FPV camera feed was still solid with spells of lag out to as far as we could see the drone. Drone control didn't waver to that distance either. A very good drone for the price. For a beginner it will grow with you and for more experienced pilots it checks all the boxes for a fun park flyer.

Overall I'm happy with buying this drone. I did some research and the sky viper seemed to be the best value. It's cheaper and comes with more flying options than the other drones I looked at. The drone comes pre-assembled and includes extra accessories like replacement blades and screws in case you need them. Make sure you have AA batteries for the remote control. The drone itself just needs to be charged. For a first time drone flyer, the controls are pretty easy to manage. I did have some bumps along the way, but got the hang of it after a few minutes. Apparently battery on the drone lasts about 11 mins, which I think is a bit short. Also it would have been more helpful if the manual was a little more detailed, but didn't take me long to figure out everything. If you're a first time drone user or thinking about buying a cool gift this is a great option for you.

Purchased this based on a recommendation from a friend who also had one... except his worked. Out of the box mine could not even properly turn on and after reaching out to customer support, I waited and waited and waited only to get a generic response that sited verbatim the trouble shooting information packet included, which did not address my problems with this product. In the end customers support was useless and felt like talking to a robot... which ironically seemed to function as usefully as this drone. Issues with the product: the remote would beep nonstop in search of a signal from the drone... the drone, freshly charged would not light up and no signal was ever acquired. I tried to change between indoor and outdoor mode, but was never able to get to the point where I could even make the switch. In the end I returned the product and I feel infinitely better for it. I give it a 2 Star only because I’ve seen the product actually work... otherwise my experience was worthy of 1 star

I bought this drone recently and have flown it for only 1 week, so I will update this review as I get more information Pros: 1) drone is very light weight, nicely made, 2) comes with a 1200 mAh battery (instead of 700-800 mAh) , 3) it is easy to get to work, 4) uses open source firmware (Ardupilot) that is upgradable and allows additional phone software to be installed for more features, 5) has GPS, which is useful for using the "return" function.. Cons: 1) Image in cell phone is super grainy and unusable (I have tested it only indoors or small spaces where the image changes a lot, it may be different outdoors). 2) Drone tends to drift sideways (common issue due to small differences in blades) and there is no way to null out. 3) battery has quite short life, about 5-7 min, with no hard use 4) battery connector is a fairly rare JST that somewhat reduces battery choices. 5) battery compartment only allows a smallish size battery and there are no options for larger batteries

I’d been caught in the Lily scam. Then I tried a Kudrone and found it impossible to fly, and it had a noisy motor, still waiting for a replacement. Ordered this after reading several reviews. This is a great little beginner drone. It’s relatively easy to fly, takes decent stills and movies, and through a couple of minor crashes, relatively tough. This drone is nothing special, but the price is right, and it does it’s job really well.

Don"t buy this drone! The drone itself is very nice; however, second flight it just developed a mind of its own and flew away, with no controls operational. Nothing would respond and it finally crashed into some trees breaking two of the guards. This was at Christmas and I have been trying since then to get some support from the company. Have sent messages and called every other day since then - NO ONE calls you back or emails you. Parts are out of stock, so you can't order replacement guards. The company customer service is the worst I have ever seen. Without some support, this drone is useless.

Super cool, no experience with drones before, flew a few times no problems. Tried after dark and flew it too far! I watched as my drone flew off into the desert getting farther away. Pushed the land button and it disappears. Grabbed a flash light and started wandering around. My buddy stayed at the truck messing with his drone. After a few minutes he shouts hey it's over here! I walked back and sure enough it came back on it's own and landed 2 feet from where I had been standing. Camera takes good still images you can take from video. Best money i have spent in awhile.

Good drone to practice your skills before buying an expensive version. Flight technology is great for something in this price range. Flight app is nice as well. Camera is basic plus highly compressed video but is what you would expect at this price point.
