Very Impressed, Simple to Install.
Summary - Very easy to fit with minimal tools and basic skill. - Decent quality parts and the instructions provided are well written and have photos - Good flow rate. - Filter works, removes chlorine and makes my water palatable. - Very convenient and Environmentally sound compared to bottled water. - Highly recommended. INSTALLATION. Firstly, good instructions are provided and these include good quality photos (the printing is also well done - you can see what you are meant to see). - it is a very simple system - there is no need to be nervous. I installed the tap/faucet into the corner of a steel sink top locating the faucet so I had enough access to get a spanner (13mm) under the sink and on to the retaining nut. The instructions call for a 12mm hole to be drilled in the sink or worksurface - my faucet only required a 10mm hole and still has a bit of play (if I had had a 8mm hole saw I would have used that instead... Oh but I do have an 8mm drill which I could of used... oh well, too late now). The Saddle / Self Piercing Valve This made me nervous as we have high water pressure and acid damaged copper pipework (we used to be on a well) but in practice it is very easy to fit and provides a water tight connection without any fuss at all. The saddle should be located over copper pipe (NOT plastic as some reviewers have suggested) and in a suitable location to make a tidy run of pipe from it. I put mine where it would not get knocked by bottles of Fairy or the other stuff that lives in the under sink cupboard. I also placed it where it would not impede access to other plumbing (like the washing machine valves). Once the saddle is clamped to the pipe it is just a matter of turning the piercing screw until the connection is made and then reversing the screw to open the integral valve. Very easy and no drama. Plumbing Connecting the pipes could not be easier. Most of the connections are push-fit type, push the pipe into the socket on the fitting and then replace the little locking ring and that is it. I have to say I had reservations about these but they are brilliant, none have leaked - they feel secure and won't come dislodged easily! The other two connections are compression type - stick an insert up the pipe, pop an olive over the pipe and tighten with a spanner. Again, simple as simple can be and no drama. The rest of the installation is no more than cutting some pipe to length (stanley knife), screwing in the filter clips. As long as you can drill a hole for the faucet in the corner of your sink or work top then I would say don't worry about the rest as it is dead easy. USAGE The faucet is goose necked so it is easy to fill large containers, it also swivels so can be rotated out of the way after use. The tap is a lever type, press down gives momentary flow or it can be pulled upwards for continuous flow. Water Flow Water flow is higher than expected - I get 5.2 L/min. In real money that's under 5 seconds to fill a half pint glass. CONCLUSION I drink a lot of water and have had to transport it 30 miles from a cash and carry monthly. The cost of the water itself, fuel, and time - not to mention effort - have been considerable. We conservatively average six (500ml) bottles a day or 2190 per year - that's over a ton of water being handled, packaged and transported multiple times not to mention the costs involved in manufacturing plastic bottles. This to supply a product that is already present in the home in huge quantities albeit in need of simple filtering. Our recycling bin is always overflowing (2 weekly pick up = 84 bottles = one third of wheelie bin capacity = disgruntled bin men) and we all know where our old bottles land up and the damage they do. So installing a £20.00 filter kit with an annual running cost of about £20.00 seems like a no brainer. 2190 bottles a year, really I should be shot at dawn by Flipper and some hippies! I consider myself to be fairly green - I garden for food, compost, turn off lights, grow wild flowers for the bees etc so the recent press about plastic bottles has been weighing heavily on me - I am very surprised about how convenient reducing my own impact has been.

Ita fine for the price.. but not a long term life span due to the water control switch, cant see it lasting that long.

Great product for the price
I thought this was going to an eye sore. I purchased it because the whole kit was a great starting price. The idea being I could replace the tap later for a more attractive one. To my surprise, I found the tap actually looks pretty good and my wife likes it. I asked my wife which side of the sink she wanted it fitted. Took her forever to decide. In the end, I forced her to make a choice only to discover her preferred choice was directly above the washing machine (Do check these things before you drill holes). How I felt silly. I took my time and fitted it exactly to the manual. Needed to buy a rasp to make the hole in the sink wider (which cost almost half the price of the Kit). Fully fitted turned it on and it worked perfectly first time and has been working excellently ever since. Note if you have never done DIY plumbing before do not attempt self-fitting. A lot of confidence is required. Once holes are drilled there is no turning back. Overall opinion is I still may change the tap but I now have filtered drinking, vegetable washing and cooking water. Definitely worth it.

Great product. Instructions are a little vague but confident diyer will find it simple enough. Loads of extra pipe. Make sure you cut the pipe square. I used a Faithfull PVC pipe cutter. Would recommend.

Just get it, you won't regret it. Brilliant for hard water areas
Bought this to fit to my gappo gold tap as recommended by Amazon. Builder didn't complain about filter, so easy to fix (just connects to cold water), and the clarity of water is brilliant! No hard water marks on glassware and sink. And doesn't have that disgusting salty soft water flavour like other filters seem to have. Don't quite get how it works and haven't needed to change the filters yet as recently installed but am very impressed by the quality, ease of fitting and how cheap it was! Space saving too. Well worth it 👌
