The BK16 is a fair utility knife, I don't like the flat grind instead of the original sabre grind. I have both knifes and don't use the 16. (I'm a Becker/Camillus Campanion user.)** A: Frankly, the knives are similarly sized (I have both this and a Campanion) and have similar capabilities. The Crewman is lighter, though only by about 4 ounces, and a slightly thinner blade Campanion is 1/4 inch thick while Crewman is 3/16 inch think that alters the balance in the hand. To me, the Crewman feels livelier. I have found it the Crewman easier to maneuver and work on finer tasks. The Campanion has about a 1/4 inch shorter blade. The Crewman's false edge is useful for some tasks. It's less than 5mm thick (5mm = 0.196 inches)......again, the BK-10 is 0.188 or 3/16" thick which is the same as the longer/bigger brother; the BK9.
