Earthborn Elements Vitamin C Powder (2 Gallon)

If you have a pool with stains on the steps or on the liner, don’t waste your time trying to rub them off. I’ve done the same thing and they never come clean. I put one lb. of this powdered vitamin C in my pool this morning and in an hour it looked brand new. All stains are gone. You will have to add shock afterwards to bring the PH back up. But let me just tell, this vitamin C powder is a miracle worker.

I fill my pool every using well water, which left significant brown staining around the walls and edges due to the high metal content. The stains made the pool look terrible. After doing some research, I purchased a 128-ounce bucket of Vitamin C treatment. I applied the entire container around the perimeter of the pool and poured the remainder into the center. About an hour later, I added Pool Mate Premium Metal Out liquid. I let the treatment work overnight, and by the following morning, the results were unbelievable. The metal stains were dramatically reduced, and the pool looked clean, clear, and refreshed. I was extremely impressed with how effective it was and would highly recommend it to anyone dealing with metal staining from well water. Make sure you backwash your filter after 48 hours.

Best thing around! Took all my stains out of my pool but one that's been there for years! I've been trying for months to remove these stains from leaves sitting on the bottom of my pool during winter. Highly recommend this and will be buying again!!!!!!!!!!!

Vitamin C plus Metal Out is the dream team! Your pool will have less stains, will be blue/clear and inviting again! I thought we were going to have to resurface our pool (cost $20,000+), or drain and scrub and/or paint it to get it to look beautiful again but I was wrong! I’m so glad I was. My husband and I did a little research and found this easy solution. Figured it’s worth a shot, can’t be any worse than it already is. We had high hopes and crossed our fingers this would work and it did!! We are amazed with the results! I would 1000% recommend this.

I take ~3g of Vitamin C crystals buffered with bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) every morning and every evening. Ratio 4:1, which I THINK follows Pauline's practice (though I can't find the reference now). I take quite a bit more when I think I'm infected with a virus, but that doesn't happen very often. I've never bought a whole gallon (8 pounds) at a time before, but the price was right and the quality seems fine. It might last me close to 2 years, which will take me past the Best Before date, but I've repackaged it in smaller ziploc bags in our cool basement, and I expect it to be good to the last gram. The bucket is a pain to open. Literally. With a pull tab that takes more force to break than my thumb could deliver. Fortunately I reached for my little multitool before I hurt myself and it opened fine. As I was scooping out some of the powder into smaller containers (from previous bulk C purchases), I thought I had hit a big lump, but it was a packet of dessicant! No lumps AFAICS. :-) My only complaint is that the powder is a bit FINER than I like. Not a big deal, but after I spoon out my ~3g with a 1/2t=2.5g measuring spoon, the spoon is covered with fine C powder, like powdered sugar. My favorite bulk C is a bit coarse, and leaves the spoon clean, like ordinary granulated sugar. But that's a small problem, and I'd be happy to buy this again when I finally finish this big batch. :-)

After trying many different products and promises to remove metal based stains in my pool, Vitamin C as a bulk powder really does the trick. Most of the stains are gone with a recurring treatment.

I used this in the cool weather I took my Chlorine down to nothing and put a pound in because I have 7000 Gallons of water... You will need Metal Control to have the Metal taking care of.. Easy to do.. Worth it.

I buy this to add a coffee scoops worth into my bath water to neutralize chlorine and chlorine. This bucket will last nearly a year.
