x6 Nuage Men Advanced Shave Serum with Silicon Technology Sensitive Formula 50ml

I’ve been using Nuage Advanced Shave Serum for the last couple of weeks now, and so here is my review. For the last few years I’ve been using King of Shaves Kinexium Supercooling Face Serum, and as I consider that to be by far the best shaving oil/gel/foam I’ve ever used, that will be the main benchmark that I’m using to judge this by. PROS: - It works really well: The most important thing is that it does the job well, improving razor glide significantly, and working much better than any traditional gels/foams I have ever used. If you haven’t tried this category of shaving serums before, and are only used to gels/foams, then I’m pretty sure you won’t go back! - Good value: Very reasonable cost for a multipack of 50ml bottles compared to Kinexium Shaving serum. (At time of writing a multipack of 6 x 50ml of this product works out at £4 per 100ml vs £8.50 per 100ml for Kinexium). This may all sound hideously expensive compared to a normal shaving gel in a big bottle, but you only use a tiny amount at once in comparison, and it is definitely worth it to bleed less often! (Using shaving serums I hardly ever cut myself now, but with gels almost always have an irritated or cut face afterwards). - You apply it to a dry face: possibly making it easier to use with an electric shaver, especially. - Ease of cleaning: Washes out of the sink very easily with no residue, which is a definite advantage over Kinexium Serum. CONS: - Difficulty to apply: It is quite runny and so much trickier to apply than Kinexium Serum, which has a noticeably thicker formulation. (This also means it runs off/down your face more easily). It loses a star from me for this. - Value: Because of the viscosity of it mentioned above, you do go through a bottle faster than Kinexium, balancing out the lower purchase price a little. - Smell/cooling effect: This product has a VERY strong menthol cooling effect to it. Some people might even like this, but I find that it is so strong it makes my eyes water after a few seconds on my face. (Not applied to my eyes of course!). I also have to apply it under my nose last of all and shave that area immediately as the smell is so strong. For me, this is a real shame, and I would give the product 4 stars without this. SUMMARY: Nuage Advanced Shave Serum is definitely worth a try, especially if you haven’t yet used any shaving serums or oils before. You might be fine with the cooling effect, and find it easier to apply than I did. I would definitely recommend you also try King of Shaves Kinexium Supercooling Face Serum though and compare it.
