Nice quality, highly functional pocket knife.
An amazingly attractive looking knife with a hollow ground, Damascus, carbon steel blade. It has beautiful bone scales, well fitted, which blends well with the brass bolsters. The sharpened edge of the blade is 2 1/2" long. The total length is 2 13/16" extending beyond the bolster. The total length of the folded knife is 3 5/8". The knife is obviously hand made, so there will be variations in each one. In this one, the bee was installed crookedly and was therefore filed off on one side. Also the bolster on that end was filed lower on one side than the other. This left a larger than necessary gap between the bee wing and the bolster and leaves a sharp edge on the bee wing. However, for the price I would not even begin to complain. Where these are made seems to be a well kept secret but I'm guessing India. To get the real deal from France, you would have to pay over 10 times as much. I am well satisfied with this one. The scabbard is not much to write home about but I bought this as a pocket knife. This knife will rust and corrode if not properly taken care of, but it's not that much effort to do so.

Great quality; love it!
What a lovely crafted wee knife. It’s actually quite beautiful and so sturdy and well made. Has that “quality feel” in the hand and is razor sharp. The blade is beautiful modern Damascus blade (I say this as the original Damascus blade secret was lost some two centuries ago). I’m not given to leaving reviews to everything I buy off amazon but in this case I felt compelled to do so as it’s such a great quality item I thought I should. I’ve owned a number of pocket knives over the years and this is quite the most beautifully wrought one of them all!

Great knife if it was sent without dinks in the blade
This is a gorgeous knife but with dinks in the blade its a huge shame for the price. Not very impressed. Craftsmanship, sturdiness, design ect all lovely but thw blade has definitely been used/tested on something to have these dinks in the blade itself. Not happy, not impressed

Simply the best EDC knife!
This knife is a piece of art. It’s not razor sharp out of the box, but it’s more sharper than any of the stainless steel ones for sure. I can use it to slice a hand hold A4 paper without any effort. It is definitely worth every penny. I love this knife so much that I use my professional skill to shoot some photos of it. Just want to show how beautiful this knife is.

A minor work of art.
This is a nice piece of male jewellery, if a little rough around the edges - & it's British! Worth the money - just.

The good points about this knife
The good points about this knife: it is remarkably pretty, the brass gives it a nice heft, the fitting of the bone grip scales is good, the bone is well polished and feels good in the hand, the mechanical damascus blade is very handsome, the blade takes and retains a reasonably good edge. The bad points: The edge of the blade had a flat spot (hitting against the backspring in transit?), the bolsters are angled where they grip the pivoting part of the blade, this means that the blade is tight, with no lateral movement, when opened (when it needs to be), but when closed the blade rattled against the liners. I found this irritating and tried to tighten things by re-peening the ends of the pin holding the blade, which only had a temporary effect, and bruised the brass. I have now glued a piece of plastic to one of the liners and this seems to have stopped the rattle. Perhaps I have been unfortunate to receive a poor example. Overall, I like the knife and it is reasonable value for money, but mine is marred by some constructional and/or quality control defects.

Width between 67 to 99 layers of Damascus steel this knife is wonderful
what can I say about this knife well from the beginning it is just the most beautiful thing that I have seen the craftsmanship itself is wonderful that investors still is perfect with no did nothing wrong with it I have looked at it underneath a microscope and there is nothing wrong with this absolutely wonderful piece of machinery I wouldn't expect anyone who has an ounce of anything in themselves to buy one of these and have it close to them at all times the handle is absolutely superb can't find anything else out there on the market that would absolutely come anywhere near the craftsmanship of this knife

Been after a nice pocket knife
Been after a nice pocket knife, I have bought a few off amazon and well they were basically well below par. I’ve seen the Damascus steel and fancied trying one of these. Ordered and arrived next day, packaged well and sealed to keep the smell of machine oil in there and the knife oiled, once opened I was in no way dissapointed, the brass and handle just flow looks like one peace the machine work is that good, when the blade extended out I see the Damascus trade mark and was very pleased. It’s quite sharp and certainly a nice pocket knife. Con, I have big hands and is lost but still very usable, I do some hunting and will be adding to my collections from these guys once funds become available ! Steven
